I made my choices by asking myself "if I was picking someone to be on my team, who would I rather have playing for me?" Rice IS arguably the greatest WR to ever play the game. However, I think the players I chose would benefit me more than a WR.

edit: I think the Chief's have shown that a great WR is not absolutely necessary for a great offense.

Even though I didn't vote for him, I guess I could see someone voting for Namath...

Not only did he play in the Super Bowl that shook the NFL to it's foundations, his signing by the Jets and his (at the time) huge contract almost certainly was the final straw that broke the NFL's will and forced them into the merger with the AFL...All in all, he did figure into some key moments in NFL history....
