What do you think is the leading cause of death for people stranded on islands?

Stranded. Alone. Washed up on shore. What do they eventually die of?

Assume that they wash up on shore alive and reasonably healthy?

Living on an island like I do, I can honestly say, the leading cause of "death" aside from old age (most of the folks around Bell Island live well into their 90's I SHIT YOU NOT!!!)
It would probably have to be from mouthing off about others.

See when you live on a 12sq mile island, with a population of right around 3000 you can't get out of bed and shit with out someone knowing how many squares of azz wipe you used 4 hours later, let alone try to "bad mouth" another person and get away with it.

Anyway, so back to the subject of the berilium sphere.

I can count two movies off hand.

1. The one with Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver and the guy who plays Monk where they were actors that some aliens thought were real space heroes and asked them to help their doomed civilization. They needed a berilium sphere to power their ship, I believe.

2. The Shadow with the guy who has a brother who played in the movie with James Woods where they fought the vampires. The evil asian guy had captured a scientist who was working on a berilium sphere.

I think there are more, though.

So, anyway, I was thinking about these berilium spheres.

And I was thinking, "Are there berilium spheres in real life? If not, why is there more than just one movie using the berilium sphere plot device?"

Then I got to thinking, "Who would know more about berilium spheres than the guys on ChiefsPlanet?" And I thought, "Well, hell. Nobody!"

So that's why I brought it up.

If this post would have been by anyone else but Rain Man I would have been surprised.

You need at least 3500 posts before we unlock the berilium sphere vault.

'Cause, you know, ChiefsPlanet guys know a lot about movies, spheres, science, and other things. And, if you ever have a question about something (like a berilium sphere, for instance), you can always go there and get an answer.
