Went to the Nelson Atkins tonite with my wife. Great time. Got toasted, saw good art. Good night.

I'm not nearly that cultured. I sure as hell wouldn't get drunk there... "you break it, you buy it"

I might end up in debt for life.

Amstel Light.

I'm switching to Johnny Walker Blue Label around 10:30. A buddy of mine, that moved out of town last Summer, is in town for a visit. He's coming over to play darts and to have a few drinks.

Any of you guys ever had JW Blue Label before? It's ass kicking deelish. I got it as a X-Mas present this past year from a supplier of mine. Goes for about $150/750ml bottle. If you like a blended scotch whisky, this is the shit.

Sadly I haven't but if you'd ever get your ass to one of the annual parties I'd sure like to try it.

A friend of mine was kind enough to share that stuff with me about a month ago. We each had a couple of glasses. Just sipped it slowly. Great stuff. Really relaxing.

Absolutely.

The best way to drink it is to put it in a big glass, let it sit for a while and then sip it. The key is to serve it neat. No ice, and certainly no water or any mix. Truly, it's a mouthgasm....

The wife and I went to the Peanut for the first time tonight. I enjoyed their wings and a couple plus one brews. My wife is not a beer drinker at all - ever. But I think she'll be drinking the new Blvd Lunar in the future. I tried my first as well and it's not bad. I wouldn't describe it as a full-bodied brew but it's definitely drinkable.

Downtown LS. You wouldn't appreciate this but my wife does - no smoking at any place that serves food in LS. I dragged her in there and if it was smoke-filled we'd have left. I think she enjoyed herself. We'll definitely go back.
