I've been looking forward to this one.

I like Cusak, Jackson and Stephen King.

It's getting pretty good reviews. 74% on Rottentomatoes. That's great considering the genre.

A few quotes..

"A retro joy, a Halloween Haunted House of a movie that delivers the sort of pleasurable shivers and jolts that today's exercises in torture porn don't even attempt."

"If you like 'spooky' but not 'gross' -- if you like to be scared without being assaulted -- then 1408 should do the trick."

"This isn’t a horror movie about... screams and yells, it’s more like chills and little moments of revelation."

"Listen up, all you Hostels, Saws and other purveyors of bloody terror. Lay down your whips, chain saws and paring knives to watch a truly scary movie."

Sounds like a nice change of pace...

Everytime i have seen the name of the movie '1408' my initial thoughts of its a movie about something going on at that time in history.

I always thought it should have named Room 1408.

The previews look good, i think Cusack is an under used actor.

Sometimes spooky movies can get me more hair raising then those hack and slash movies.

I tend to like horror movies that have some blood thrown around with some humor here and there.

Took my teenage niece and nephew today and my niece watched most of it through her fingers.I love the horror genre but had all but given up on it,however, with this being written by King I had to give it a shot and am damn glad I did.

I'm giving it a thumbs way up and will be adding it to my collection when it hits DVD and although his role his limited Samuel L. Jackson is great as always.

***POSSIBLE SPOILER***

Great thing about this movie is just when you think it's over and you've been cheated it takes a twist and pulls you back into the story.

Looks spooky. I keep threatening my 11 year old that I'll take her to go see it if she doesn't clean her room.

This movie looks freaking horrible by the previews, but reading the decent reviews maybe I will go see it based on the positive word of mouth I have been hearing.

Thats all that these horror movies have become now. This one is a lot better. I'm usually pretty leery of King movies lately, but this one was very good.

Went and saw this yesterday and I was disappointed. It held my interest during the first half, and there were definitely some really creepy scenes/moments, but then it started getting stupid.

It's just my opinion, but I felt I wasted my money on it.
