How many people have you fired
I'll bet I've got everyone beat. I don't know the exact number but I know for sure it's well over 200 . Over 20 years in the hog business I've been through a ton of losers. I'm firing 2 today at the end of the workday, they've been going out at lunch smoking pot. This work is way too dangerous for people that are stoned. They could get semen right in their eye or something. And if you've never got the chance to fire someone then how many times have you been fired ? Just wondering.

Get some drug testing kits ~$10/ea. Tell any new person you will test for any reason, show 'em the kits.

I've never been able to figure out if Hog Farmer is a really stupid, intolerant real person or a really humorous, satirical alt of another poster.

I actually got fired from the first job I ever had. I was a dishwasher at a chinese restaurant, I was 16, I worked nights after school until 11:00. The police station was across the street from the alley behind our restaurant. Me and another guy would slip out back after the sun went down and bombard parked police cars with eggs and potatoes. Every night. We should not have been so consistent.The chinese manager fired me three nights in a row. I kept coming back to work acting like I couldn't understand him. He was STUUUUPID!

I ran health clubs for 20 years. 50 + employees per club average. Fired one a week on average. This doesn't include taking over troubled clubs where I cleaned house or running more than one club. Truth is the number is probably substantially higher. That also doesn't reflect employees since then but that actually hasn't been many.

About 5 or 6.....and just about every time...it didnt come as a total surprise.

Most people know if they're slacking or stinking up the joint in regards to their job performance.

I'd say 5-10. Last Summer I had a guy not show up on a Saturday or Sunday that he was scheduled. I fired him on Monday and he acted surprised and wanted to know why.
