This morning my little terrier "Macy" got jumped by 3 coyotes... and these ****ers were huge. I should have been paying more attention as she was acting really sketchy all morning. Barking, looking at me... heading up the hill... turning around making sure I was there. Luckily, my neighbor and I were outside talking and all the sudden Macy took off like a bat outta hell. My neighbor says "Ohhh shit" just enough time for me to turn my head around and see two coyotes surrounding my girl. We both ran up the hill right as a third was coming in for the grab. I think between my neighbor, my black lab that joined us and I they got a little timid, dropped her and took off. She's alive but has a few puncture wounds. Now, In Texas it was easier to hunt these bastards because of all the open land. But, the terrain here is a lot different, hills and trees makes it easier for them to roam without you noticing. My shotgun's loaded with shells and I'm waiting for a few buddies to meet me up here. As for the dogs, my lab is itching to get outside but I'm keeping him in for now and little Macy is at the Animal Hospital getting cleaned up. Sorry for the long story there, I'm just all kinds of pumped right now. I guess I should be counting my blessings that Macy's not dead.

Anything bigger than a .22 LR should work. Just that I’ve seen .22 spread out in their fur and not penetrate past that point.

Just be glad it wasn't a mt lion. I had one of those dudes cross a path about 30 or 40 yards ahead of me when I was mt biking once. All I really saw was the tail...I got out of there quick.

If'n ya wanna get rid of a few wolves early, jus' chain up that snack-sized terrier to one of them trees out yonder and stay nearby to blast them.

If'n ya wanna take out a whole pack o' wolves, use that black lab o' yours as bait and have your whole shootin' gang hidin' out nearby.

Get a rabbit squealer....hide and make a rabbit have a painful sounding death. They'll come if they're in the area.

I sure as shit hope not. Ya know, I took her to the vet a few weeks ago cause she was due for some vaccines, rabies included but she was sick and they wouldn't give it to her. Made an appt for tomorrow now that this happened.

if there are puncture wounds, and you like the dog, it might need a shot, for infection if nothing else. Bring it over and I'll put a few CCs of combiotic or LA200 in it.
