Drew Brees and ......

Chase Daniel, they are almost identical in height and weight with Chase maybe being a little heavier. Wanted everyone's take on style of play between the two and if you think Daniel will be as good, better or a bust. Sarcastic loogey-hawkers not invited on this one.

Freemans one of those guys that with his size and his natural physical tools that even if he never has a great year will shoot up in workouts, Joe Flacco's big arm rocketed him up and Freeman is tall without the anorexic look I could see a team falling in love with him.

Chase would be a great "pick" for the Chiefs.

Carry on...

I'd be stunned if Freeman wasn't a first round pick, usually being over 6'5 with a huge arm will make every NFL team drool over you.

Yep, so he's already a leg up on Daniel. If Missouri has Daniel play under center 50% or better it will help some.

That's the ONE nitpick I have with Missouri's offense. Put in an I-formation every now and again. The Pistol formation is OK, but doesn't fool anybody when you're in it.

Ryan Leaf was actually a damn good college player.....he just wasn't mature enough to handle the NFL, but he did have every physical tool you'd look for, I'm sure every other team in the 2nd pick hole would have taken him...

There were some that thought he would be better than Manning.

Unless you have a 10 cent head. Not able to read defenses and call audibles.

kinda my point. Looking at just some physical "tools" is fools play. There is more to this game. I think daniel will end up surprising people in this league. because he has a good head too.

It's one thing to lack some things but when you're to short there is no way to make up for that. He won't be able to see over the linemen.

I'm not saying the exception makes the new rules, I'm just saying playing too close to the "book" isn't what makes good chances = great player....

There's a reason Doug Flutie played in Canada for years and then was a backup.....

I'm sure we can find other examples, just making a point that with all your "knowledge" you still don't know anymore than anyone else. The game is played for a reason, the people that are supposed to succeed and win don't always do so.
To you, this is fun, that "general rule book" that you like to adhere all your opinions to. What's the most important position on a team, it has to be this, then this, and so on. A QB has to have these stats/gifts/and played for this school/program/"pro-offense". Well, good for you and all, but to me, I like the unpredictable aspects. This is why we butt heads sometimes. So what....

oh and to me the most important position is the team capt.
