My mock.

Got nothing to do -- tell me what you think.

This idea is starting from square one to build from the future. The first pick is at QB.

From there, I am 99% defense oriented, with only a pause in the 6th for the Rehring the road-grader.

By the way, I totally took the liberty of assuming we traded LJ and Tony G for two thirds.

1. QB Matt Stafford, Georgia -- Brodie's leash just tightened up.

2. DE Brian Orakpo, Texas -- Quick pass-rushing specialist this team is starving for.

3. OLB Anthony Heygood, Purdue -- Gotta love Purdue's athletic, fast linebackers. This guy's a natural, sky's the limit.

3. RB Jorvorskie Lane -- We're going to need a big RB.

3. WR Derrick Williams, Penn State -- Finally, a deep threat?

4. MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan -- Natural leader with great stats.

5. DT Myron Pryor, Kentucky -- Great athleticism, totally raw.

6. OG Steve Rehring, Ohio State -- Massive run-blocker for RG.

7. OLB Kevin Atkins, Boston College -- Speedy and undersized, he'd get playing time immediately.

As much as we run inside a RG and C are really important
I get to watch alot of pac10 football, Mack is a dominant C,but I also like
Max Unger and Antoine Caldwell who we can get in the 3rd.
youtube has really nice video of mack run blocking which I can't post because I'm a noob

well I better get to posting 100 is a long way off.
my 09 mock
1.(3rd pick)Michael Johnson/Sam Bradford I don't think Bradford will come out and we need a pass rush bad!
2. I like mecca's pick of Brandon Spikes mlb is our 3rd biggest need behind qb and de
3. Max Unger can play every line anywhere on the line gives us options
4. Domonique Johnson(Jackson St.)mizzou transfer good depth put him at nickle and cut surtain
5.Zach Follett Cal very productive always around the ball
6.Roger Allen, Missouri Western G
7.Kirston Pittman, LSU DE reunited with Dorsey SEC production

Actually Mecca argued, if I read him right, argued that Spikes would be a lousy pick atop the 2nd.

At this point, I think Johnson is a combine star looking to happen. I think he'll go before the 4th. I'd definitely love it if he fell. Same goes for Follett, who'd look great across from DJ. I think he could take over for Williams by the end of the season.

I have him as borderline 1st.

I try to be rosey with some of my predictions this early in the game.

You honestly shouldn't take my mocks seriously until the season's over and I start watching a lot more tape on my spare time.

I understood it as The only player I wouldn't take him(Maurice Evans)over is Brandon Spikes.
Sam Bradford is imo a franchise qb but I still think he stays in school to be the
#1 pick next year, if he does come out I would grab him.

Spikes is great in space perfect in a cover 2

I'm not going to do a mock because I flat out don't know enough at this point, but my hope would be:

1. Stafford
2. (pipe dream) Selvie

But if a lot of DE's come out you never know who will be sitting there in the low 30's for us to get at the top of the 2nd round....

New mock today. We loaded up with picks. Traded Tony G away for a 3rd and a 7th, and somebody offered us a 3rd for Herb Taylor (I couldn't resist).

1. QB Matt Stafford, Georgia -- Potential franchise QB, best guy available if Bradford doesn't declare.

2. DE Maurice Evans, Penn State -- Pure pass-rusher that this team desperately needs.

3. DT Vance Walker, Georgia Tech -- Shifty 3-tech that can stop the run as well.

3. WR Juaquin Iglesias, Oklahoma -- Perfect second-banana. Did it well at OU, will do it great for KC.

3. MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan -- From a smaller school, Holtzclaw nonetheless has NFL ability.

4. OLB Zach Follett, California -- Athletic outside running back that's as comfortable dropping back as he is rushing the passer.

5. OG Paul Fanaika, Arizona State -- Monstrous guard, potential bowling ball with knives.

6. K Jose Martinez, UTEP -- Best leg in the draft, but also very accurate from beyond 40.

7. DE Nick Reed, Oregon -- He may be lacking speed, but he's a pure sack specialist.

7. OLB Rashad Bobino, Texas -- Great MLB in college, will have to switch outside in the NFL. Lots of potential.
