The I am drunk and calling Mecca out thread...

So... You told me numerous times, that I was wrong about Jake Long...

We argued about Dorsey. Gholsten, etc....

Wh proved himself the better player?

Are you willing to man up and admit that you were wrong? Or do you have more excuses?

Just curious... btw Malaluagua (who I have been high on) did NOT impress me in the Senior Bowl tonight... I would rather have Laurenitis... someone with more brains and discipline.

Apparently the game where Chris Long was whipping his ass so he needed help every play doesn't count here...

In my personal opinion you don't take a LT with a top 5 pick unless he is so good he will never need help. I didn't and still don't see Jake Long as that player, that doesn't mean he sucks it just means I didn't feel he would ever be the best LT in the league and that's what he needs to be for where he was picked.

People can disagree with me that's fine but this some on this forum have a very unhealthy Oline obsession of wanting to draft nothing but OL.

Albert looked a bit slow to me to be a LT for a pocket QB. We'll see when the offense doesn't change mid-season to fit the personnel.

I would have kept Allen and his 4 years of seniority and cap. But it is not my money. You just hate to take a risk with a wild card like Allen with the salary cap. Being $30mil under the cap doesn't allow for errors.

Ok I can see THAT point...

I wanted LT last year... (who didn't) but this year I am flumexed... the best VALUE is probaly LT at #3 but I'll be damned if we take a LT 2 years in a row...

Honestly... we are screwed. I am holding out hope that we can show CONCERTED interest in Crabtree and force a trade with Seattle to at least get a 3RD rounder for the swap....

4 is overly high for Crabtree so I don't really see why they'd move, I don't consider Crabtree even an elite prospect...

Just stay put and take a damn QB.

Albert. slow?

Albert had the best feet of that draft.

Jake Long still looks like he's running in sand.

Please tell me this is a joke. Why would he re-assign someone who played very damn well as a rookie at a tough position. The guy looks like the future at LT for this team.

Exactly.

Let us not forget how tough he is. He was playing hurt for much of that time.

Why gamble on some new rookie who you "think" could play LT when you have a guy you know "can" play LT and play it very well.

IF, (I think there are better options) the Chiefs just play it safe and draft another OT with that top pick, stick him at RT where that's almost as important.

Gotta protect those bookends where the rush is coming from you know?

True.

I think if we're being honest, Dorsey was a disappointment in his 1st year.

Thankfully, I think he still has a really good chance to turn it around because I'm convinced that Herm, Gun & company were not coaching him to the best of his ability.

From putting him in bad situations, trying to make him something he's not, to not having him develop proper technique, I'm sure it was all there.

Lets just hope our new DC will do better.

I believe he could still be a force in the middle with some talent around him and non-reeruned coaching. He had 46 tackles and 1 sack. Thats not bad for a rookie DT.
