Cassel on NFL network Patriots vs Jets

That guy needs to learn how to slide when he scrambles. He does seem to have a nice touch on short/med routes as well.

Anyone else watching?

Is the same garbage they said about Brady in 2001 and 2002. He had a weak arm. But I'd watch him game after game zipping it in there. Same with Cassel. His arm is just fine.

It's not like looking at Croyle's throw's (when he did play.) And go...shit!!! But it's not bad, but not great either.

His pats receivers make him look pretty good. It looks like he's got good pocket presence though. He's pretty elusive in the backfield.

Cassel got two TDs pretty quick. I don't think Moss caught one ball. Welker caught a couple.

Go on the classic game website and watch him throw screen passes.

There's always too much on the ball.

Moss caught 2, both were short "sitdown" routes for 7/8 yrds over the middle.

Ok. I thought you were saying Cassel wasn't as good as Brodie Croyle.

He had a nice scrample, a horrible overthrown ball to Moss on a deep route and then tried to scramble for another first and fell short there. With more experience and time to work on getting his accuracy on the deep ball he could make a lot of people look foolish on here.

I don't see that at all. Garcia is like 6-1 and 200 lbs, maybe.

Cassel is very unique, IMO. There are not many 6-4, 230lbers with his kind of foot speed. His mobility is a little reminiscent of Ben Roethlisberger, perhaps.
