Quinn Out, Derek Anderson In in Cleveland

Watching ESPN, and Mangini has already made the switch to Derek Anderson.

Didn't the Browns trade two firsts to get Quinn? That certainly hasn't been a good trade.

Unreal, ain't it?

Quinn has never gotten the opportunity to play more than THREE consecutive games.

THREE.

Impatience doesn't come close to describing the ****tardation that has occured in Cleveland the past 3 years.

If I'm Billy Devaney in STL, I'm calling Cleveland yesterday to find out what they want for Quinn.

This. St.Louis should be calling Cleveland and offering them their 1st round pick for Quinn and Edwards.

That reason wasn't his so-called lack of accuracy.

Once Oakland ****ed up and took Russell because he could throw the ball through the goalposts sitting down from the 50, and Miami made the biggest ****-up in recent memory, who else was going to take him?

Every other team had their QB in place, or was financially tied to a guy they had taken years back.

Carolina, Oakland (ah shit), Buffalo, Miami, Broncos, also would all benefit by trading for Quinn.

Have you watched him play? He looks shell shocked out there. In the unlikely chance that he really is a "QBOTF", they are probably better off benching him if for no other reason than to save his psyche for any kind of future NFL career.

Yeah, that's ridiculously inaccurate...

And he's completing over 60% of his passes THIS season, and is getting benched.

He looked pretty good last year before getting hurt.

Well shit....I'd be shell shocked too. He's got no WR outside of Edwards (who can't hold onto the ball). They got rid of Winslow (which Quinn threw to a lot). They have no running game. Their offensive line should be WAY better than it is. Plus he has a coach in Mangini who will pull the plug if you don't complete 60% of your passes and score TDs every drive.

If I'm Quinn....I'm asking for a trade out of Cleveland. He WANTED to go to Cleveland and was happy when they drafted him. He's gotten bent over ever since he's been there.

Of course the checkdown king is completing a good percentage of his passes, he is too terrified to throw a pass down the field. And completion percentage isn't all that a useful of an indicator of accuracy in college, would you call Jamarcus Russell an accurate QB?

Cleveland got a A+ for their 2007 draft by all the gurus. That draft is falling apart now.

It is starting to remind me of our 2008 draft........

I've watched him play going back to 2005 at ND, I've been lucky enough to hang around with him on several occasions in 2006 as a friend of mine played on the team.

The kid is far from "shell-shocked" and there's no doubt in my mind he has "it"

What he doesn't have is decent coaching, nor the patience of the staff to give him the ball and let him develop.

Like I said before, this is his 3rd season in the league, and he's never played more than THREE consecutive games.

That's bad coaching on more levels than I have time to discuss.

You seem to be the one emotionally invested in Quinn. I haven't said anything about Notre Dame.
