Rotoworld:

William Joseph-DL- Raiders Oct. 10 - 6:53 pm et

The Chiefs recently worked out William Joseph, Tim Anderson and Marlon Favorite, according to Brad Biggs of the National Football Post.
They're all interior defensive linemen. Coach Todd Haley is on a quest to find some guys that can actually play.

That's a pretty pathetic excuse given that they had an entire scouting department and film from every game the team has ever played in order to reinforce the fact that this roster ****ing sucked ass. They couldn't have figured this out in the 8 month period between Pioli's hire and the beginning of the regular season?

But......but.......they didn't get their own scouting staff in place until after the draft.

Surely you didn't think the executive of the millenium could make some evaluations on his own, did ya?

They didn't have their own scouting department and those players weren't playing in their system.

Why are people getting mad when they are looking for others to get better? I would hope they are doing everything in their power to do that.

The best GM in the world couldn't turn the Chiefs around this fast either.

Not dissing the act, I just wish they would have done so before now..... Doing everything in their power means working the draft along with the entire offseason to address an obvious problem area, and not just desperately signing wrestlers and Walmart greeters after the season has already begun.

Does someone have to be "your" scout for you to be able to look at tape and agree/disagree on an evaluation with them?

Jesus Christ, a bunch of guys on an internet message board could have told you that the OL ****ing sucked and needed a shitload of help, but apparently the Executive of the Millenium wasn't able to pick up on that, despite sending scouts to every game, owning all the tape on the players, and having an 8 month offseason to address problems. No, only after two games does that actually appear to be a problem.

That's such a crock of shit.

Don't remember what his injury was though.
I'm thinking either elbow or back. Personally, I'm leaning more towards the back, but that's the two I can think of.

Carls Scouts don't look for the same type of guys as Piolis or some of the other GM's in the NFL. They would have to re-evaluate everyone based on what Pioli wants instead of what Carl was looking for... thats why most GM's don't fire scouts until after the draft.

I agree completly. Plus, there are lots of teams ie Dolphins that make the complete turn around the very next season (while adding better O-linemen I might add). Staying at a suckage level should never be acceptable. Everyone in the entire NFL and even the casual fan knew our line sucked last year as much as our defense. The fact that it wasn't addressed is frustrating beyond comprehension. Especially when you add in that they address the QB position, then didn't even try to offer him any protection, and traded his best playmaker so he has no chance for success is very counterproductive in the highest degree.

See what I mean Hamas?

The Millineum GM couldn't be expected to make some evaluations on his own.
