Niswanger's reign of terror ends

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/chi...y/1531813.html

Injury update on Niswanger, Albert

Haley said center Rudy Niswanger’s injured left knee was being examined Monday, and he is not expected to be available for the game at Jacksonville.

Although Wade Smith moved from left tackle and replaced Niswanger against San Diego, he may not play the position against Jacksonville. Haley said backup lineman Andy Alleman is a possibility to play, as well as a practice-squad player Darryl Harris.

“We have some center options, Wade being one of them,” Haley said.

Haley also said starting left tackle Branden Albert, who has missed the last two games because of an ankle injury, is expected to practice this week and be available for Jacksonville.

The longer he plays, the higher the chance of injuries to our backs and Cassel. IMHO

Didnt Barry gave up the two sacks to Phillips?
Ugh.

Harris played all five positions in college. He excelled at left guard in preseason but I have no doubt that with his size and athleticism, he could fill a need at LG, RG and even RT. With a transition period, of course.

Richardson, for a 6th round pick on the 53 for a short period of time played extremely well. He didn't commit any penalties that I recall and he didn't shit his pants.

Look, I want to see PROGRESS, not perfection on the offensive line. And Smith at center and Richardson at LT actually showed a little something.

Now, if Cassel could actually hit the open receiver, we might be on to something.

The only way to kill Count Zarth is to blow up his space station.

It's Star Crash. The movie sucks but it's so bad it's entertaining as hell...and Count Zarth is hilarious. It also stars Christopher Plummer and David Hasselhoff.

And a great set of tits:

McSack could have handled that turd yesterday.

He has not been the same since he quit the roids IMHO, just like John Welborn back in the day. Probowler on the Eagles while on the juice, he goes to KC and still juices till his retirement (or s I immediatly speculated and was proven to be true, he failed a drug test and wanted to hide it and CP helped out), then comes back like a shell of his former self a short while later.

You're moving the goalposts.

Did Richardson perform well or did Merriman suck?

Either way, you're acting like a cockbag.

Merriman has no sacks so far this year at about the halfway point, so no Im not, I will be very very blunt and clear about my opinion on BR, so it doesnt get misconstrued:

I think Barry Richardson is a pos, I dont think he will ever amount to a good OT.

He got replaced by a true freshman in college and might have gone undrafted if it werent for us.

I saw nothing from him up until this game... no knee bend and a consistant "lunger" doesnt use his arms effectively, seems to be a trex ot. Hopefully, he has improved his technique drastically, but to me I think he is out of the NFL in a couple years if not sooner.

I will get back to this after I painfully rewatch the recording of the game, specifically the part he played.

If he amounts to anything, I will be surprised as hell.

is that "moving the goalposts"

Ill eat my crow if Im wrong, always do.

Why does Haley always avoid the obvious gawd dam solution

Wade at center, Alleman at RG

he insists on keeping niswanger and Goff in the lineup

i don't think i like this Muir guy much.

Not sure what to make of that because Merriman has been shut down by everyone since he stopped taking his special supplement.

I would put Wade at OC and Ndukwe at RG. Ndukwe played RG for the Dolphins last year and didn't do to bad IIRC.

Personally I'd like to try this....esp if they think Albert's weight and lack of strength is what's causing his sophomore slump so to speak.

LT Richardson
LG Albert
OC Smith
RG Waters
