The last play... Hail Mary?!?!

I know this has been talked about in other threads, and maybe this is a repost thread, but I really don't care.

I watched the game on a streaming site, and the quality of the stream sucked bawls. It was better than nothing, but not much. On the last play, the vidio froze up right after the snap, and then jumped to the point after the play was over. I didn't see a replay of that play 'til late last night on ESPN.

I know most of you were saying it was a "Hail Mary", but I thought you were just probably exaggerating a tad. Damn, was I ever wrong! And after 12 or 13 hours to digest that play, I am still just dumbfounded.

That may be the single worst play I have ever seen in the NFL. And I mean... EVER!

Hell, the play before we made 15 yards on an out pattern in 4 seconds. Another one of those would have put us at the 12 or so with 2 or 3 seconds still left on the clock. An incompletion on that same out would have left the same amount of time from the 26 at 2 or 3 seconds.

If that single play does not cause the players of the Chiefs, and/or the brass of the Chiefs to go WTF... then we are doomed.

Worst decision ever by a HC or OC. And for Cassel following such a stupid call, then I have to agree with whichever radio personality that said Cassel = Grbac.

That play was utter fugging FAIL!

It wasn't the play I would have called, but worst decision ever? Not even close.

The worst part of the play was the fact that Cassel through it out of the endzone instead of keeping it in the field of play, but it seems more appropriate to blame the QB than the coaches on that.

I'm almost positive that Herm would've gone for the field goal in that situation.

I don't think they could have gotten two plays to the endzone. The first one would have to be a quick out with the idea of setting up a shorter final play to the endzone.

The other interesting things about this drive are (1) if the Chiefs D had been able to hold Cleveland to a FG on their last drive, the Chiefs would have had a lot better chance to tie the game and (2) if Cleveland's RB had taken a knee at the 1 (Jones-Drew style) instead of running around and finally crossing the goal line, the Chiefs wouldn't have even had a final drive.

Oh! I meant to bring that up! Should Harrison have taken a knee at the 1 yard line instead of scoring? What do people think?

You should be able to run two plays in 7 seconds. If tme runs out the refs will put a second back on the clock. Oh wait, that's just for Texas.

I'm fairly sure it was Bowe, but it may have been Bradley, I know their # was 80-something. I was right on the 10-yard line and was yelling "HE'S OPEN!" at whoever it was. I was hoping Cassel would try to hit him on the post there and hopefully let the guy run into the end zone, at least give the WR a chance to catch the damn thing.....

I'm sorry, that is the single worst play call I have ever seen given the situation. Edges out the fake FG ran by Janakowski aginst us that was returned for a TD.

A Hail Mary from the 26 damn yard line. That is a joke.

I agree. Worst play call I have ever seen. I am WAY more upset about the playcall than the throw. Who the hell can throw a Hail Mary accurately from 26 yards out? I have NEVER seen anything like that. Absolutely embarrassing.

I think that play alone is enough reason to fire Todd Haley.

We were all setting at the bar thinking okay you may run a quick out, or go for the endzone..........then this play happened, first everyone sat there and looked at eachother in disbelief then all hell broke loose then back to laughing at how ****ing stupid this team is.
