KU’s Gill lands first commitment

KU’s Gill lands first commitment

New Kansas football coach Turner Gill got his first oral commitment Sunday when Irving (Texas) safety Ray Mitchell gave his pledge to the Jayhawks, according to Rivals.com.

Mitchell was one of eight recruits on KU’s campus this weekend, and he became the 15th commitment in the class of 2010. Mitchell, a two-star recruit, had offers from KU, Iowa State, Tulsa, Texas El-Paso, UNLV and Wyoming.

Like MU has, or ever will win anything significant.

BigXII North titles are your ceiling. At least KU plays for national titles in a sport, and owns the whole conference in it.

Glad that they had interviewed Gill on TV. The guy is a stand up guy, and praised Bill Self for the job he's doing, and how he wants to make the athletic department proud. I just hope this kid makes a written commitment to KU. Talk is cheap. Money buys the whiskey.

Funny, how Jabba didn't handle the fighting between the BB and FB teams. I thought that was the turning-down point with him and KU. I can't imagine Gill getting into that situation, as he doesn't seem to have a chip on his shoulder.

He hasn't figured out how to use the "Thread Ignore" option. As for me, I've been ignoring people & threads left and right. It's very empowering.

No way. You're probably not a 95 lb weakling. I know my limitations. In the event that you are, you're probably not a coward too. So again, no way.

Yea I think so. Or something close to it. He certainly did quite well for himself. I think sometimes too much faith can be put into what kind of a "star" recruit a player may or may not potentially be. Ya just never know sometimes. Yea sometimes you've got a pretty good idea, but things, and people are not always as they seem.
