I'm not very high on Cody. I just have a feeling he's going to get paid and stop caring. I would love Mays with either one of the 2nd's.

I mean, it looks like Clausen is probably going to be available with 2a. Unless another team trades down, he should be. I would be alright with taking him there. Kindle would be great too at 2a. But it's looking like we can get 1st round talent with pick 2a and I love it!

Well Reerun they can be as nasty as they want, but if a QB has 5 seconds to find an open guy he will be found. We need linebackers & nose tackle, and I mean real ones, not special teams guys like we had starting this year.

Exactly. The amount of talent available in the second round (due to the Donx unbelievable picks) is unreal. The idiots that wanted us to draft Clausen at 5 when he'll be available at the top of the 2nd round fail at life.

Clausen is one of the interesting stories in this draft. Maybe the most interesting.

Meanwhile, it appears that we're going to have some genuine opportunities to pick up quality in the second round. There may well remain a couple players who would be practically instant upgrades at LB, for example. This could wind up being an excellent draft for us.

I felt sure we were going to trade down. But I couldn't be happier with Berry.

Yeah but our secondary is pretty solid as it is right now. I think if they could get a safety later on in the 3rd or 4th that would be okay. Id rather prefer them to go that route.

We just have other positions right now that are far more important to address..i.e., qb, or passrushing OLB.

I think it should be a toss up between Kindle if he falls, or Jimmy Clausen.

I like the secondary, but I hate the passrush. With Berry the Chiefs got better, but if you can't get to the qb, teams are still gonna find other ways to beat you on Sundays. Cassel is questionable, if he is not the guy, then what? Id like for them to pick Clausen mainly as an insurance policy just in case Cassel doesn't pan out. Most of the board would agree you don't win without a qb, we could use one, or a defense isn't great without a stud passrusher. Two positions right there, right now, that are far more valuable than the SS position. jmo

I disagree.

The Chiefs will face Schillens, Murphy, Thomas, Royal, Gates, Sproles, Floyd, Jackson, etc. Each of the teams the Chiefs face have at least two very good receivers (if not three) and having a guy like Mays opens all kinds of options for RC.

The could take Mays at 2a and still get a solid ILB at 2b.

What if both Taylor Mays and Clausen are still available in the 2nd round?

Don't you think it depends on who's there?

I think Cody's going to fall, and I don't really like him that much anyway.

Big statement, but I still think the Chiefs are far enough away from winning it all that they should go for BPA, assuming there is some scenario that involves that player starting this year.

Man, could you imagine Mays on a safety blitz?
