The Black Keys
Gotta new album coming out next week "Brothers". NPR is streaming it on their website all week. Sounds good. Anyone else give it a listen?

They are gonna be in KC on June 4th at Crossroads. Anyone going? I am going to try and make it up but I have a float trip planned the following weekend.

Yeah, this album is by far the biggest disappointment of the year. I was really hoping they would go back to their old sound.

At least I'll always have Thickfreakness...

Weird. I read a review that basically said this album was a return to their old sound. I haven't listened to it yet, so I can't comment.

Completely wrong. Too many overdubs, not enough riffs. When I think of the Black Keys, I think of guitar, and drums, with a single singer as an afterthought. Not choirs, organs, and whistling.

Album is definitely different. I guess I'm glad they don't keep making the same album over and over. Regardless I still like them a lot and will be at the concert tonight.
