Chiefs lost on the road at Indy.

Wow. What a freaking surprise. In other news, the Chiefsplanet board melted down on trying to figure out who the biggest goat was.

First, flame away...that's fine. But, Cassel didn't lose this game for the Chiefs. Cassel didn't have much of an opportunity to lose this game.

The 4th and two on the first drive was stupid. The on sides kick was stupid, and poorly executed.

Now, lets move on. The Chiefs didn't push the ball down the field much. They were worried about Freeney and Mathis.

The Chiefs played scared. No real imagination.

They were worried about the Colts on the road, and it showed. They should have taken some shots down field.

Then, maybe we could have hung this loss on Cassel.

As it is, I put in on Haley. Not to say that I don't want Haley, or think he is a bad coach....just realize that he clearly thought the Chiefs were outclassed. He should be encouraged that the Chiefs played with the Colts the entire game. And, had a few things bounced their way, the Chiefs are winning that game.

you are a ****ing dumbass

Yeah the onside kick and going on 4th was stupid, but with the way our D played and our running game, a ****ing reeruned midget at qb should have been able to ****ing win if he was throwing to another reeruned midget instead of bowe, who doesnt deserve his ****ing name being ****ing capitalized

You weren't watching the same game I was.

1) The fourth and two play, Cassel throws the ball into quad coverage, despite having ample time. Should have been a running call anyway.
2) Cassel had one guy in mind for each play he dropped back all game. Then he either tried to force it in or panicked and threw a terrible checkdown or away.
3) Cassel's throw to Charles in the flat on (3rd or 4th) and short was like a billion miles per hour and at his feet, giving him no chance to make a play on it. It was atrocious and five yards away. Seriously? This is what we pay him for?
4) There were numerous plays where cassel was completely ineffective.

The 4th and two was a good decision with a bad play call. Had we run the ball, we would have gotten a fresh set of downs. The onside kick resulted in a field goal for indy. same as it would have if we had kicked it all the way down. Net effect: none. Same as your IQ.

Why wouldnt we run the ball? the Colts have the worst run defense in the league. if anything we got away from the running game too early.

This loss is on Cassel and Bowe.

If anything, I put it on Haley that we got away from running the ball late in the third quarter. We should have continued doing what was so effective.

Regardless, the Chiefs would have won on the road against the Colts with a capable QB. All the silly gimmick plays, the on sides kick and Bowe's drops would have been forgotten about if the QB made some decent throwing plays. The QB scares nobody and regardless on how effective the running game is, we can't beat a Superbowl contender no matter where.

I think Cassel did contribute to the loss but I agree with you that on the road calling an onside kick to start the game off is a very poor decision, you don't give Peyton Manning great field position on a high fail rate type of play. Also the decision to go for it on 4th and 2 was another terrible decision if they would have kicked the field goal we would have been going for just a touchdown at the end of the game to tie it.

I like aggressive play calling but not in the form of trickery, those are the type of plays you try at home.

This.

What does that tell you about our QB when the very coaches who see him everyday don't trust him to win us a game?

We're stuck with this turd until next year.

Why can't Ryan Mallet/Andrew Luck declare himself an NFL free agent so we can get this process started with!
