Maybe it's because I'm young and I think if me and some other people my age were thrown into a football game against thirty year olds with no game planning and no stretching that we would easily come out on top. Even though they've been playing pickup games for ten more years than us.

No game planning?

No stretching?

The odds I give each game.

Bills -- 90% Chiefs win
@Lions -- 40% Chiefs win
@Chargers -- 50% Chiefs win
Vikings -- 60% Chiefs win
@Colts -- 30% Chiefs win
bye
@Raiders -- 55% Chiefs win
Chargers -- 25% Chiefs win
Dolphins -- 75% Chiefs win
Broncos -- 90% Chiefs win
@Patriots -- 10% Chiefs win
Steelers -- 20% Chiefs win
@Bears -- 35% Chiefs win
@Jets -- 1% Chiefs win
Packers -- 30% Chiefs win
Raiders -- 60% Chiefs win
@Broncos -- 60% Chiefs win

So if the Chiefs play up to my expectations, that's seven games they should win, and a 50/50 game. If they can get an upset here or there, that lands them a good 9-7 season.

The Bears game is too low. That team isn't going to win 8 games this year I'll bet.

It's really not that bad of a schedule until the last seven games of the year.

Then the stretch gets absolutely brutal in some really tough places to play.

We'll need to steal a game in there somewhere for me to feel encouraged by the direction this team is headed.

40% on the Lions? Why is everybody rising them so hard?

1 % on the Jets? Yeah right, that's our matchup. You know we would've stood a MUCH greater chance against NY in the playoffs. And my money says Sanchez gets to comfortable and takes a few steps back this year.

The Lions have built a playoff-caliber team. They're legit, especially that front 7. As long as Stafford stays healthy (which is hardly a sure thing), they could win 10 games.

Well we were never paired to play the Jets in any conceivable situation. It was either going to be the Ravens visiting us, or the Colts. And I would have taken the Colts any day of the week, but we got our asses handed to us by the Raiders in Week 17 and here comes the Ravens.

I'd give us a less-than-equal chance of beating the Lions on the road. Our team will still be gelling, the Lions don't have to put up with nearly that much. The QB, the RB, the WRs, and tackles are still the same. And Suh will chew up everyone he lines up against -- although I think Asamoah's really nasty attitude could be our best chance against him.

The Jets game. Forget it. We do not have the elite talent needed to function against that defense. Their offense is the exact kind of offense we struggle against, too -- a grind it out offense that wears down our defensive line.

Once we get more proven and experienced talent on the DL, especially at the nose position, these teams will grind us down. Fortunately, I think brighter days are ahead as soon as our talent develops there, but it won't develop overnight.

If you can get us to 4-0, then you can surely get us the first 4 games after the BYE week as well... at Oakland, then home for San Diego, Miami, and Denver. 8-1 or 9-0 after 9 games!

Damn! That would be awesome and set up some must see TV nationally the next 5 weeks!

I don't know. Three of those games you just mentioned are in Division. I think the at San Diego game is a lock IMO, but the Monday Night game isn't. That team heats up around that time and they are excellent underdogs.

I'm thinking 6-3 or 7-2 after nine games.

If they do that well, then I'm expecting at least 2 wins in that Patriots/Jets/Bears/Packers stretch.

My expectations for this year include doing better than .500 in the division and not melting and playing small pussy vagina ball against good teams. We've got to beat some of them during the regular season.
