You people are nuts if you rank this high on the disappointment list, it would have still taken an act of congress to get in the playoffs even if you had won today.

Hell we still have a good chance of not getting in even if the Raiders win next week.

With what took place today, IF we won today and next week we would have been in.

Today's loss by both the Chargers and Donkeys means with a win today, the Chiefs and Donkeys would have been playing for the division next week.

But at the end of the day, this loss was about as painful as dropping a sponge on your toe.

We would be heading into the playoffs with Kyle Orton at QB.

What would we be expecting but an ass kicking when we got there?

Depends who would we be playing? With the possibility of Houston, Ten, or Cin being in there I would like a turn in the tournament.

Titans are the only one of those three I think we might have a shot against, though with Hasselbeck at QB, I'd call it a slim chance.

It would have been Baltimore or Pittsburgh for us. We wouldn't have played any of those until the championship game.

All they needed if they didn't piss this game away was to beat that pathetic Pop Warner offense out in Pile High.

This. The outcome today doesn't surprise me at all. In fact I mostly expected it. It doesn't bother me to not make the playoffs because I don't think we're even close to being good enough not to embarrass ourselves again if we were there. Plus.... as I've said before... it's just football... just sports. I'm not going to go into my speech on the subject but I really suggest people that are really bothered by your team losing for more than 10 minutes after the game find a way to let go of it. You have no ownership as a fan. It doesn't change your life. It doesn't reflect on you. I want my teams to win too but if they don't it doesn't honestly matter. Enjoy the wins, let go of the losses. Just enjoy the game. Don't let it bother you so much. OK I went into a partial speech.

I know... easier said than done. It took me a while too.

Believe me I've tried....I think the length of loyalty makes it harder to put aside. Kind of like an addiction to cigarettes-you know it's bad for you but you just can't quit.

Well I'm 42 so length of loyalty can be overcome.

I understand and I'm not trying to be mean at all... I'm just just telling you it's isn't worth it to be emotionally invested toooooo much in something you can't control. I'm so glad I've gotten to a place where a win is awesome and enjoyable for days but a loss disappears in minutes. It makes a healthier person than I used to be.

This is true too. Losses used to wreck me for days I've finally gotten to where I can take them much easier.

The loss in the AFC championship was the worst I was 12 and it killed me. The loss in 03 was a very close second. I really thought that was our year. Sigh
