Romeo throws half of the team under the bus...
Yet another reason having him being DC and HC at the same time is a bad idea.

When asked about the tension and angst that's created when you get "kicked" on both sides of the line of scrimmage, he said (and I'm paraphrasing):

"I don't think that's accurate. I don't think we got kicked on BOTH sides of the ball. The defense played well. We made some mistakes late in the game and let them get some yards but I don't think the defense got 'kicked' at all."

The defense has definately not played to billing, but the team is allowing TWELVE points a game off turnovers alone. Most of those caused opponents to have amazing field position. That's crazy.

The offense is wearing the **** out of the defense. After that fumble on the 1st play of the 3rd quarter you could tell the defense was deflated.

They allow 6 points going into the half without that goofed punt. That's a good effort. The 2nd half starts with a muffed snap deep in their own territory. It's a ****ing travesty.

Do I have to break down what this D has done (or failed to do) in the first quarter of games this year? They start pissing down their legs just as quickly as the offense does. Don't start making excuses for the D, because they come out of the tunnel failing.
