I've seen Beckham projected to us in a couple of mock drafts and I've watched film on him. Good speed but great hands! He catches with his hands and not his body. I wouldn't be disappointed with him at 23.
However, and I am serious, I for one think that Jenkins is going to try to rejuvenate his pro-career with the Chiefs. I liked the effort and fire that I saw in the late Charger game. He has one year under his belt in Reids system and I look for him and Hemmingway to really develop thereby making a WR a less sexy pick. Just my .02. |

The guy is a stud and would be absolute balls in this system. He's the guy that Andy Reid wanted when he drafted Maclin. I would be elated if they picked Beckham. |

I like Yankey way more than I do any guard in this draft, but Gabe Jackson's a muuuuch better fit for our system.
I don't see the Chiefs going there, however, in the 1st (or at all, really). I see the Chiefs re-signing Geoff Schwartz and giving Jeff Allen one more year of development with what's-his-name Johnson as swing guard. |

Jackson is as dominant an offensive lineman as there is in this draft. He was absolutely overpowering against everyone in the SEC. He's ridiculously powerful, with a massive base. He comes up out of his stance quickly and just drive blocks the bejesus out of whoever is in front of him. He's excellent in pass protection as well as when he locks onto a guy, it's pretty much over. And he plays really, really mean. Just wants to bury guys. Watch the game tapes - guys go out of their way to avoid him. Yankey is a nice player, but he's totally finesse. I thought he looked overmatched in the two Stanford games I really paid attention to - Utah and Michigan State. I specifically watched the Rose Bowl to watch Yankey. Nice, but he didn't stand out and looked somewhat pedestrian. He's going to have to play in a pure zone block system to be truly effective at the next level IMO, whereas Jackson fits exactly what Reid wants out of his guards - maulers who are able to move the line forward. (It's why you saw a big difference in the change between Asamoah and Schwartz.) And, frankly, I think Jackson is that good with a tremendous ceiling in Reid's offense. And that's why I like he, Hageman and Beckham - I think all three are absolute perfect fits for their positions on this team with this coaching staff, especially Jackson. |

Jackson got physically manhandled at the sr bowl. I think he probably fits better at rg in the nfl as I don't think he's quite athletic enough to play lg

I also think Yankey might be the int he third when we pick. I don't think he's a first rounder
