The Kevin White Thread to End All Kevin White Threads

Holy shit, I love watching this guy play.

Is there anybody more fun to watch than this guy right now?

Guy is a very long 6'3" with what looks like 4.3 speed. Runs fantastic routes. Plays with excellent passion and is hypercompetitive, constantly talking, trying to get into CBs' heads.

He may be my favorite WR in this draft. Moreso than even Amari Cooper.

I love him. I want him. He needs to be a Chief.

White has another 100+ yard game with 8 catches, 132 yards, and 2 TDs.

He's a weapon anywhere on the field and I hope that Dorsey can see that.

If we can get either him or Parker, I will be a very happy camper.

Depending where are options are at that point, there's no reason we can't trade up and get the guy.

We have 11 ****ing draft picks.

White was projected as a day 3 pick prior to this season. How high can he climb with one monster year?

1st rounder. Little doubt in my mind.

Rotoworld's update on White.

Quote:
West Virginia senior WR Kevin White caught eight passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the school's 41-27 win over Baylor.
White made many contested catches against a super physical corner in redshirt sophomore Xavien Howard. Perhaps the most improved player in the country, White made a one handed grab for his second score and consistently worked back to his quarterback when Clint Trickett was under duress. It is tough to peg White's draft status since he continues to emerge.

I would guess early 2nd once all of the testing etc is finished.

Have we confirmed 11 picks somehow? I didn't think that information was released until like a month prior to the draft? And I still don't think we get the 11th, since only 32 picks can be dished out.

I think Mid12th is his floor, but teams like Green Bay, Baltimore, Cincy, Atlanta, and St. Louis might take shots if they land late 1sts, or take them in the early 2nd (like with STL).

I'm just projecting.

Even if we "only" get 10, that's more than enough to go up and get a player if we want.

At a risk of our own pick, since we cannot trade compensatory selections, so remember that. If we had to "go up" we'll be losing value on the pick so the "guy" had better be worth his weight in gold.

I like the fact that this draft class is fairly strong as well, not as strong as last year's but pretty solid.

We'll have to see how White tests speed wise... but at this point I see no reason he shouldn't be a 1st rounder.

This draft class is really perplexing, because there isn't a surplus of "superstar" talent like there has been over the last few years, but there is a plethora of "immediate start" talent, and we're going to need a few of those guys in the later rounds. We need another ILB more than anything right now, another DE is a definite need as well. A long, fast, Press-Man corner is going to be a super high priority and likely our 1st or 2nd pick in this draft. And then you look at the line quality as well, and we need another Guard, another Tackle, an interior swing guy, another Tight End for sure.

This is going to be the Dorsey draft to make or break all other Dorsey drafts. Has me pretty excited too.

This year is another good year for whoever gets a top 3 pick. Gregory, Williams, and Mariota are all legitimate #1 overall talents. Top 10 is pretty solid as well.

Gregory is on par with Clowney as a prospect, IMO. Slightly different types of players, Clowney plays with a bit more raw power, but Gregory is just as good with his combination of length, speed, quickness, power, and fluidness.

Williams is almost un-blockable and plays with a ton of power and is pretty quick and fast for a 300 pound player. I watched the BC game where they got ran all over on, Williams was not the problem at all. He was constantly disrupting plays but his teammates were never in any position to help out when the RB would cut back away from him.

Mariota is the top QB prospect with Kaepernick speed, he's a smoother and smarter runner who is always looking to throw down field vs just bailing like Hundley does, and he has above average arm talent with significantly improved pocket awareness and footwork from last season. To top it all off, he is very clean both on and off the field and the type of guy that a team would want as their face of the franchise.

Which is exactly why he's going to bust harder than Ty Montgomery.

I have turned a sharp corner on Gregory.

I thought he was another Dee Ford. As this season progresses and I watch him more and more, he looks truly special.
