Late night bullshit: Which Chiefs team is better?

Poll inspired by Rausch's discussion in zilla's thread on compensatory picks.

Rausch thinks the 2013 Chiefs team was better at this point in their season. I argue that his mother smells of elderberries.

About the ONLY way this team is worse is pass protection...
And turnover ratio maybe?
So far, everything else is better or at least not worse.

I feel like this year's team has far better balance than last. We are not as explosive on defense or ST, but have hung tough against some really good QBs. We are not relying on a few big plays to win games, but are playing fairly consistent ball-control offense. I really love the third-down offense this year more than anything else. If we can keep converting at this rate we will be a very tough team down the stretch.

I dont see how anyone could vote for 2013.

The strength of schedule was much weaker.
Our depth is waaay better this year in most spots.
Sutton really seems to have a much better handle on the defense this year, while we're not getting as many turnovers, we're also not giving up as many big plays.

I mostly agree with that, but I do think you can increase your chances for interceptions with aggressive blitzing, forcing the QB into hurried throws.

Of course the problem with that is that it also increases your chances to get burned for a big play... I like that Sutton isnt blitzing as much, we've definitely given up fewer big plays this year all while playing against much better QB's than last year.

Easily 2014 best 3rd down team in the league. Few plays of 20+ yards given up.

This team is really building. I wish I could see what it looks like in 2 years.

I'm okay with this. Kelce is better than Bowe and Davis isn't too bad himself. DAT looks a nice toy on offense and our GM is showing us he can draft quality players.

Bowe is averaging 15 yards per catch. He needs more tsrgets. Alot more. Will only improve the passing game

Depends. Bowe is good for at least one critical drop a game. Double edged sword on this issue
