What Needs Fixed

Curious for everyone else's thoughts here. We know we have 11-12 picks, and limited in cap space.

Needs IMO: WR (like 3 or 4), OT, OG, Derrick Johnson, another interior guy to give Poe a break, maybe some secondary depth.

Where the hell do we go in the draft? If I had to guess we will pick around 18th. Not a great spot but certainly can get a WR... but we need lineman just as bad...

big offseason coming. Fingers crossed that we somehow sneak in and win a playoff game. All I'm asking for.

We need a true #1 receiver and we won't get that with draft picks without some luck . Two or three linemen we can find in the scrap pile or later draft picks. If berry is out next year, a thumper at strong safety.

Nice to haves are a thumper at safety and an extra tight end.

Our oline starters become bench depth. I don't really understand the panic. A good draft and scrap moves helps us close most of our gaps.

If we win all of the games against AFC opponents we have left, we get in.

Not happening. Do you know what Leveon Bell is going to do to this defense? Chargers game not a lock either.

If KC goes 3-1 and one if those victories is against Pitt, it doesn't matter what happens in the Pitt/Cincy games.

JC will be entering his 8th season - big $ and maybe you can get something to help rebuild. You have Davis and you can always go get another RB in the draft or find a cheaper alternative in FA.

I don't see anything in FA at QB that is really better than Smith, unless you like Vick, Sanchez, Hoyer ... don't know that I'd trade for RGII quite honestly.

Pick up some draft picks if possible, start to fix the OL - and beef up the passing game. Is KC going to be able to afford Houston, retain JC and fix the holes?

Go all in and realize that Charles is at that point where you may be better off getting something that can help you for the next 4-6 years.

They should have traded him in August the minute he announced his holdout.

Dorsey, once again, got out maneuvered.

Yeah, but I don't see KC winning that game @ PIT.

if the preparation, or lack thereof, and effort the last two weeks are any indication, I don't see them winning more than 1 game down the stretch.

He's just a ****ing pussy. There's nothing else you can say about it. He's been this risk averse ever since SF.

We have a legitimate shot of beating the Cardinals. And that's only because they're meh without Palmer and they don't really have a run game. We'll also probably beat the Raiders as well. I really only see 2 wins out of the next 5 though.

It will more than likely come down to the Chargers game for who makes it into the playoffs....and we won't show up. 9-7 to end the season.

Yall are being very pessimistic. You play to your strengths. The chiefs from '03 to '06 didn't have a receiver and had one of the best offenses in the AFC. New England went to a superbowl and almost won it without any outside receivers. Alex Suck came a special teams play away from going to the superbowl without a receiver. This is a running football team with a QB who is averse to outside receivers anyway. Build your team to play to your strengths. I would try to emulate something resembling the 49ers offense of 2013 or the Pats offense with Gronk and Hernandez. Get another tight end to pair with Kelce and target some olineman and you'll be more than fine.

Defensively, the problem with this football team is their defense doesn't match the strengths of their offense. If you're gonna win running the football you gotta be able to stop the run with your Base D. San Francisco was great with Alex suck at QB cuz they played a conservative D, stopped the run with 7 and forced you to nickel and dime your way down the field. That turned every game into a nickel and diming contest and it's very difficult to out nickel and dime Alex Suck. The problem with this defense is their front can't stop the run so they have to gamble too much. D.J. should be back which will help, but they need a better run front overall.
