Let's talk about the Saints.

What?

It's midweek and we don't have a Saints thread?

I pretty much have no idea what to expect in this game. The Saints are a pretty terrible team everywhere. They have one good passrusher and the rest of their defense is utter garbage. Their offensive line can't open holes and Mark Ingram is JAG.

But, of course, they have the one thing we're vulnerable to: an elite, Hall of Fame quarterback.

Brees can light Arrowhead the **** up. We currently have no CBs on this team that can guard Brandin Cooks, a sharp route-running speedster that our corners match up horribly against.

Fortunately, they have no other receivers that are serious weapons, but it doesn't matter with Brees. He gets the ball out in a hurry, and roughly 100% of his passes are on target. Brees has seen every coverage, and every blitz.

We're probably rolling with another Hali/Ford/Zombo matchup on the edges and that's not going to be enough to get to him.

What do you guys know about the Saints?

I wouldnt say the Saints have a shittier defense than the Raiders. The Raiders defense is probably the worst in the NFL. At least to this point it has been.

Should be a good game to break out some reverses, screens, dumpoffs and try to control the time of possession with "Slice and Dice's" deadly short passing game.

If we can do that, its an easy win.

Big key is going to be interior pass rush pushing breez back. He doesnt like moving laterally in the pocket, always steps up. Could be a big game for Jones. Loves to throw fleener down the seam in the redzone.

Its gonna be a shot out for sure..

Were gonna have to score in the 30's if not 40's to win this game...

Its time for Big Buffet and Slice and Dice to carve up the Saints defense like a Thanksgiving turkey...

Should be a great game to watch!

That 2010 season was something to watch, as was 2013. He was awesome.

It's kind of quiet, but as of right now, Ware is on pace for a 2k all purpose season.

I'm surprised you didn't mention this but toward the end of the game last week didn't they have Ford/Hali/Nicholas on the field at the same time or am I imagining things? Anyway when Nicholas was in there he really brought added pressure. They'll be fine with Peters/Parker.

Terron Armstead participated in the beginning portion of practice that was open to the media Wednesday. It's unclear if he participated in team drills. The Saints will release their practice report later this afternoon. CB Delvin Breaux was present for the stretching portion of practice open to the media. Absent from practice were DT Nick Fairley, CB Sterling Moore, LB Dannell Ellerbe, DE Paul Kruger and LT Andrus Peat. … It will obviously be huge if Armstead can return from a knee injury to play Sunday at Kansas City – especially if his backup, Peat, is unable to play.
Wow that would be devastating for them if they didn't have some of those guys.

I agree with this. At least the idea of controlling the tempo of the game.

If anyone knows how to engineer a 45-play, 84-yard possession that swallows up an entire quarter and ends with a 17-yard field goal, it's the Kansas City Chiefs.

Definitely will test the secondary. Past few games I've seen of them they go for chunks. Single man high defense better be ready

Saints average 501 y/g in the dome, 281 y/g on the road. Saints have only held one opponent to less than 34 points; the Giants scored 16 when the Saints forced 3 TOs. Falcons scored 45 in the dome with a balanced attack and no turnovers. Home field and a good run/pass balance should favor the Chiefs.
