Mattresses

I have no doubt this has been done before, but I'm curious as to the preferred mattress brand/type of CP.

We currently have a King and want to stick with that size, but we'll be moving soon and need to upgrade to a new mattress. What say you CP? Anyone on here tried Purple?

I just buy a memory foam mattress from amazon every 5 years or so. They're comfortable and cheap.

Bought this one in 2015, still comfortable. Screw spending $1k+ on a freakin mattress.

Mattresses, sneakers, boots, underwear, stuff you have to digest: things you don't skimp on for quality.

I suggest adjustable bed for sure. As mentioned don’t skimp, you’ll only be cheating yourself.

I think Casper will cover it all if you don't like it.

100 posters will give you 100 different answers.

Buying a mattress is, by far, the hardest purchase I ever make. It’s extremely difficult to compare across retailers, online reviews are notoriously rigged, and worst of all, the sleep experience is very personal — what works for one may not work for another.

I had to buy a new mattress about 18 months ago, and I hated everything about it. I finally just said **** it, bought a memory foam mattress from Mattress Firm for about $900 and as part of a promotion got a nice Sonos One speaker. The mattress has been fine. Don’t know how long it will last. But I wouldn’t dare tell anyone to buy the same.

I bought a mattress at mattress firm last year after spending 20 years on the old one.

No a year later, I pitched that crap for a new Saatva mattress. Very nice.

It's only difficult if you make it difficult. I picked one out online and it was delivered to me 6 days later and it really could not have been any easier.

Just look for a firm mattress to support the big johnson, since everyone on CP has a footlong dong, to make sure said dong is well supported by the bed. Easy enough.

I've had slat beds for the last 30 years. Wouldn't do a box spring every again. I'm a fan of a firm mattress that is mid range. I've bought the last 3 between $375 and $475 a piece and they lasted about 10-12 years roughly.

I found a fantastic mattress in the store (tempurpedic cloud luxe) after trying out a dozen or so. Also an adjustable base. Altogether it would come to $7-8K.

Then did research online to find out which internet brand felt comparable to it. Buying that way saved about 5K with my final choice.

It's important to get something very supportive, whether it's firm or soft. Back issues, or whether you sleep on your back, side, or front - it influences what mattress will work best for you. We ended up with a Novosbed king mattress, and a quality adjustable base from Amazon. Has worked out great.
