I like their nuggets - but only if I take them home and refry them so that they're extra crispy.
The last new burger I tried from there was the Brew House Whopper. Disgusting. |

I think I have posted this story before but it one of the best ones I have! Back in the 90's Carl's Jr had an ad campaign based on "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face." In those days you didn't have to ask for more sauce on a Western burger! I was living in Flagstaff at the time. A news story came out about a large pot bust on I-40 through town. Turns out the driver of the U-haul full of pot stopped at Carl's and then tried to eat his burger as he headed out of town. Due to the sloppiness he was weaving a bit so he was pulled over. There is enough drug trafficking going from LA into the interior of the country along I-40 that standard procedure was to bring out the dogs on any stop. Bottom line, a sloppy burger caused a good sized pot bust! |

I only go there for two basic things, both original BK items.
Single cheeseburger and the original chicken sandwich. Both of those are still exactly like they were in the 70's. |

I’m fortunate the BK near me has always been on point. Hot fresh food. However, my prior residence was near a different BK, and it was absolutely god ****ing awful. Cold or “cool” burgers. ****ed up orders. Shitty fries. They would routinely just close the lobby and only have the drive through open. And if you did actual,y go in, it was nasty, and filthy. Fliess around the soda machine, slippery greasy floors. Maybe one person speaking English. Manager looked like she wanted to kill her self and gAve zero ****s...other than wanting to charge me for zesty sauce when I didn’t order nuggets.
95th and quivira. Love me some bk again now that I’m near one where management and employees don’t mail it in.

I used to get a hankering for their Double Cheeseburgers, but I rarely eat fast food anymore. I hit up In-N-Out on occasion, and from time to time I'll do Jack in the Box or Del Taco, but anymore I just have trouble with fast food. Gas, heartburn etc. So I try to avoid.

Their Jr. Spicy Chicken sammich is about the only value item worth it these days. I too miss the Jr. Rodeo burger, that was a good value item. Their current Spicy Chicken Parm sammich looks good though, haven't tried it.
