1. Said the Texans should’ve been able to run the ball against our front 7 that isn’t very good. I know our LB group is mediocre at best, but he was blatantly disrespecting our DL specifically. He was genuinely upset and disgusted in the Texans.

2. Picked the Titans to win.

3. Said the 49ers will win it all because they’re the only thing close to a great team.

This was all from a short interview on the radio I just heard. The disrespect was clear. Does he hate the Chiefs and I’m just finding out about it?

I heard it. It's this. He's always been an old school asshole. Talking about the Chiefs offense he said with disdain in his voice, yeah it's exciting to watch. He offered no rationale for why the Titans will win, just kinda threw it out there in passing.

I don't know what anyone else is hearing, but I've heard Trent on Mahomes a few times between lasrt year and this, and he loves him some Mahomes.

I have noticed that sometimes he talks as if he hasn't actually watched the games/teams he references, instead using just the statistical lines to make his arguments. I think he made comments earlier this year about the MIN game. IIRC, he said something about how our run D was 31st in the league so MIN should run all over us.

I remember thinking at the time, "what are you talking about, Dilfer? Our running defense has been significantly better since the DEN game." It was like he didn't see that game. Or how the Chiefs mostly kept the Packers' Jones under control except for a few runs.

But I don't think he has a problem with the Chiefs. He probably is just going off the stat lines.

I say bring on the doubters. This team needs to stay focused and play with a chip on their shoulder. Hope like hell they don’t sleep walk through the 1st quarter next Sunday.

Yeah, there's a lot of sour grapes out there. When HOU went up 24 nothing a lot of people were relishing dancing on the Chiefs/Mahomes grave. The razzle-dazzle/new era teams make the old time trench warfare guys like Dilfer and Mangini get (for lack of better words) small packer syndrome. Then Patrick went all out Mahomes and that awesome D we saw in the second half of the season showed up the last three quarters. At that moment they realized Lamar is alone in the dark and Mahomes is who they hoped he wasn't. And that does not make them happy.

Dilfer has spent a lot of time training young QBs to be robots. Mahomes makes his teaching and wisdom look like crap.
