Did you ever watch sign language and try to sync it with the actual speak?

Far from fluent but I am learning it with my son. It has basically all the same words as English. It is considered its own language though so not everything translates. Not sure how factual this is but I read a lot of deaf people read english at around a 3rd grade level. English is a second language to them. Body language and facial expression is a big part of it, almost like using voice inflection.

My Granddad worked at the Kansas school for the Deaf. They named a wing after him. My mom could sign. I never learned it.

I know a bunch of words in ASL but I cant sign much in real life because I dont know how to do sentences. What I've learned about it is that you do a lot of pantomiming and acting out instead of signing all the words. And the expressions and movements are exaggerations of simple words. So pandemic is probably a sign of bad with really exaggerated facial expressions and body movements.
