I’ve noticed that my favorite movies have my favorite characters.

I would definitely say that characters are most important for me. The Dark Knight probably isn’t as good of a movie as the rest of my top 5, but Heath Ledger’s performance is just such a huge bonus for me. The replay value is phenomenal because of it. It’s still obviously a great movie though.
