Some Things About Today's Game Week 14: KC 48 Convicts 9

Some Things About Today’s Game Week 14: KC 48 Convicts 9

The Raiders are the team I loathe more than any other sporting entity. I hate them more than the Donks. More than the Yanks. More than the 1972 Russian Basketball team. And -even with yesterday’s debacle freshly registered in my soul- even more than the Jayhawks. Why? When I was a boy I saw Ben Davidson cheap shot my hero Lenny Dawson in the back; and my other hero Otis Taylor pull him off Dawson and start wailing on his worthless, cheating ass. The Raiders were dirty. Jack Tatum put a guy in a wheelchair from a dirty hit in a PRESEASON GAME. They’d hit you in the back. They’d dive at the knees. They’d clothesline you five yards out of bounds. They have no real home. They’re nothing more than nomadic felons bouncing from town to town. Their fans are all the dregs and losers of society. The loners, misfits, drifters, malcontents and deadbeats. The kind of people who root for the villain in a melodrama. The kind of people who root for the Nazis in “The Sound of Music.” People with black souls who worship a megalomaniac Bin Laden figure like Al Davis. I hate absolutely everything about them, and I especially hate their fans. Hate. Not dislike. Hate. I don’t apologize for it. The Raiders are all about evil. So much, that they left one of the ugliest, angriest cities in America once for South Central LA -another of the angriest ugliest cities in America- went back to Oakland, and now reside in “Sin City” and play in a stadium called the “Death Star.” There is good and evil in this world. The Raiders are the embodiment of evil and I feel it bone deep.

That said, I have seen every epic battle between the Chiefs and the Faid since 1966. I’ve been at every single contest played between the two in KC. I can say without reservation, except for when we won the first Lamar Hunt trophy two years ago, I’ve never enjoyed a home game more than today’s game. Today’s epic 48-9 beat down -and make no mistake, this was a curb stomp, a bitch slap, a biblical beat down- it was the most lopsided margin of victory in the entire history of these two teams playing one another. A 39 point shellacking that was never at any point even close.

After last year’s ill advised bus victory lap around Arrowhead, the Faid doubled down on poking the bear by dancing on the Arrowhead logo at midfield in their pregame warmups today. The bus victory lap was especially spineless, since Arrowhead was virtually empty because of Covid. Disrespecting your opponent in their house is bad juju and poor sportsmanship. But that’s what the Faid’s constitutional makeup is: Bad juju and poor sportsmanship. It defines their character as an organization. How sweet was it that they puked up the ball on their first play from scrimmage, and go down 7-0 :30 into the game?

I’m not going to talk much on the stat lines except for the important stuff: Chiefs 4 rushing TDs, no turnovers. We showed them our Henne in the fourth quarter. Faid less than 300 yards of total offense, which included only 44 years rushing. Five turnovers. Five. Cinco. Four Ugly Sacks. 4-11 on third down and 85 yards in penalties. The Faid had to settle for a measly field goal to go into the locker room at halftime down 35-3. And when they did manage to score a TD in the third quarter thanks to a penalty fueled drive, they botched the extra point. So for yet another week the Chiefs defense gave up less than double digits.

Mahomes only had four incomplete passes, and hit one of the greatest throws I’ve seen this year, on a third and long scrambling left, then throwing the ball completely cross field to Hill to convert. There’s maybe only two or three other guys in the NFL with the ability to hit that throw. Maybe Rodgers, Herbert and Josh Allen. That’s about it. And Josh Gordon actually made a cameo appearance catching a TD, and looked good doing it.

Mike Hughes had a monster day with eight tackles and a scoop and score. Honey Badger had a pick, and the entire secondary seemed to cover up the loss of Sneed. Okafor got a crushing kill shot on Carr. Buttkicker continues to be money. In every conceivable way, it was our day in the sun.

So since the ugly loss to the Tits, the Chiefs have reeled off six straight wins, setting up the rematch with the Bolts on a Thursday night game. Two things in the Bolts favor is with the short week, Andy won’t have as much time to prepare, and the Bolts get to play at home, at night, on pacific time. At least KC was able to get most of their front line starters out in the early fourth quarter to save a few bumps and bruises. Chris Jones tweaked an ankle, and Bolton had his hand wrapped up, but both will hopefully be OK for Thursday. I really doubt Sneed will be back, but we’ll see. I'd want his head to be in it or else take another week off.

Bengals, Bills and Ravens all lost today. Thursday night game is super important to winning the AFC West. Let’s hope we didn’t leave it all out there today and saved a little for Thursday night. It’s time to see which team is the real deal, as December football determines who plays in January, and who sits on the couch.

Game highlights are here:

One moment in time I didn't unreservedly hate the Raiders, but to be fair Bo was also a Royal.

EDIT - also that stoner QB they drafted was kinda amusing in a curiosity kind of way for a hot minute, but he disappeared in a haze of ganja faster than Johnny Fooseball in Cleveland.

Awesome job!

The Fader's season is in shambles, one embarrassment after another. This was a historic beatdown and will lead to a complete rebuild.

You, sir, are a modern day Kerouac:

“Their fans are all the dregs and losers of society. The loners, misfits, drifters, malcontents and deadbeats. The kind of people who root for the villain in a melodrama. The kind of people who root for the Nazis in “The Sound of Music.” People with black souls who worship a megalomaniac Bin Laden figure like Al Davis. I hate absolutely everything about them, and I especially hate their fans.”

This might be the most beautiful prose ever conceived on CP and it’s most wonderful as it’s straight from the heart.

Great read.

I don't know what kind of hell week the Faid had but they had nothing. At all. And we turned up the rape. I'm not sure I hate them more than Donk (**** Donk Forever), but if we're going to turn it to 11 and sweep a team in a manner that leads to regime changes, I'm glad it's the Faid.
I am with George on the hate for the Raiders. I remember when it seemed like every game between the two you could count on several brawls. Those were some tough guys not making millions, they truly hated the other team.

It's really true. I know very few Raiders fans, but the few that I know...frankly are not happy people and they don't have their minds put in a positive place...they ARE ****ed up miserable life hating people.

Good to be a fan of the Chiefs...a genuinely good team with players who are not only great on the field, but off as well. I don't thing Derrick Carr is a bad person, but damn...he plays for Satan's team...

I feel like the Chiefs are going to go on a winning streak against the Faders that will rival what they are currently doing to the Donks.

We have the best QB in history, a solid organization and an all-time great coach. The Faders are a joke from top to bottom.
