What i most remember him for is hosting "USA Up All Night" while I get pissed he was on air that night, and not Rhonda Sheer. B Rated movies just weren't the same seeing Gilbert at each commercial break.

Damn, that sucks. Like Buehler mentioned, he was a big part of my childhood, and I also loved his appearances on the Howard Stern Show. Here's one of my favorites, when he met Beetlejuice and Beetlejuices absolutely hated him.
