I see DE as more of a 3rd or 4th round, rotational guy who can develop situation.
They also openly talked about Frank Clark maybe coming back. I don't think they see it as a huge need.

I think Andre Carter falls to the 4th.

The concerns about him needing to be completely re-coached are real. Teams love his size but I don't think anybody has any faith that he's remotely playable for a season or so.

People were trying to convince me he was a 1st rounder a few months back. Madness.

Had him in a bunch of my early mocks but he's not a T3 guy for me if he' putting Ika in T4. Frustrating ranking for Ika for me.

I'm thoroughly frustrated with the unsystematic approach to rankings anymore.
Why do I continually feel like there needs to be a clear delineation of what is a 43DE, 34ER, 345T, 433T, 431T, 340T, etc? Mashing so many of these guys into non-schematic fits is tough. There may be some overlap but not as much as seems to be the regular lately.

Just lunatic measurables and shows occasional flashes of being an absolute superstar.

But ultimately that's just what you're looking at in the late 1st - someone that doesn't have much ceiling (GK) or someone that needs to be coached up to iron out flaws in his game.

You can target a range of a 6-7 or someone with a range of a 4-9. White is the latter. He may suck - but he has star tools that a lot of the folks taken at that point in the draft simply don't have.

Keion White is basically huge and he plays hard, so GMs love that. He lacks bend and he's old...

He also gamed the system a bit in avoiding doing agility testing.

Nice work kccrow! Yeah, kind of amazed no pundits have done it this way! Only one I'd quibble with is Nolan Smith who I rate much higher.

Hi Crow! Like your breakdown a lot. Where would you place Byran Bresee from Clemson? Personally, I think he's generally been ranked too high by most pundits. How do you see him?

I think they avoid putting them in a box so that later they can say " Well teams told me they view him as a 3-4 outside rusher, so i had him here. Thats the only reason i was wrong."

Also it appears im higher on Jaquelin Roy than everyone else.

I was one of them.

All the tools are there. I love the guy. I still think he's worth consideration in the 2nd round.

But there have been consistent complaints about Carter's complete need to have to learn the position for about a month now from people I respect.

I will say this: if he's a developmental guy, he's as good a shot to make the develop.

DraftTek is not the best draft website out there, but they absolutely nail this aspect of it.

Yes, nice work crow. We need size at edge with spags so I’d think we’d be interested in 43 DE or 34 5T that are very athletic with long arms like adeboware or keion white. Personally, I don’t see adebo’s height as a concern for me. He won’t be able to bat balls like Carlos Dunlap but he’s got long arms and he’s built to bull rush from the edge with a stout lower body. And his athleticism gives him a high ceiling. I’d love to get adebo in the 2nd or even move up a bit to get him in the 2nd. God doesn’t make many 280 lbs that work hard and hustle that can run 4.49 and have a 37” vert. Does anyone else find adebo interesting?
