One Player That's A NO Thanks

Give me your one guy in the top 3 rounds you really do not want the Chiefs to draft but there is a good shot they might. Call this my "getting ahead of the Willie Gay pick" thread haha.

For me, it's Gervon Dexter.

I hate his snap quickness, or should I say his absolutely non-existent snap quickness. It's not that he can't play, because he can, but he's a ****ing sloth off the snap making his ceiling much lower than it should be. I give a hard no thank you to a guy that can't get his ass off the ball.

They took Johnston because they are going to lose Allen or Williams or both after this season...he's a replacement not a compliment.

Take a look at that cap, and that is without a Herbert deal, there is going to be some major changes coming after this season.

Wiliams cap hit in 24 is $32,460,000
Allens is $34,717,500

Their dead cap numbers are basically 11 and 12, they could both easily be cut.

I was honestly worried they'd take Zay Flowers. Hyatt could've given them an extra dynamic too.

Of course they'd go with a another big, slow WR. Except this one isn't the route runner than Allen is, or the jump ball beast that Williams is.

Johnston on the Chargers just isn't scary, and he's really their insurance plan for the inevitable release of Allen, or injuries to either Allen or Williams.

Honestly, they coulda/shoulda just re-signed Guyton and gotten the same kind of production they'll get out of Johnston's first year.

Johnston just does not add a new dynamic to that offense that sorely needs a new dynamic.

Allen is gone. That’s happening.

Johnson was a stupid pick.

Instead of taking a compliment in their last "all in" year they took a replacement.

I think they are dumb for not taking Kincaid. He would've worried me a lot more. A shell safety neutralizes Johnston. It's much more difficult to neutralize a guy who is 6'5" and maximizes every inch of his catch radius and has a great feel for soft spots. See: kelce

Buffalo basically said they drafted Kincaid to take Beasely's slot spot and he's their "big slot"

Make no mistake about it, Kincaid is the best reciever in this draft imo. He's just tagged as a TE

From my perspective, I think you guys are off base calling the Chargers stupid for picking Johnston but again my personal view of Johnston is much more favorable than most. He not only can start right now over Palmer but he's the long-term solution to Williams' likely exit. Williams and Johnston on the outside with Allen in the slot seem the most likely play and that is a pretty formidable trio of receivers.

It's also a very deep class at TE so they can still add quality there. Kincaid is good, but he's not without issues of his own, and not all teams may have cleared that back injury. If they add one of Musgrave, Washington, LaPorta or Schoonmaker on day 2, you guys might not be singing such a sweet tune.

See, I view Kincaid as a reciever, not a TE. He would fill a totally different role than any of the other TEs in this class.

It's late in the game now but thank god we didn't get Bryan Bresee.

I think he's overrated and should have went later.

Buffalo made a very good pick. That's fine because they have made a bunch of blunders recently.

He's a 4.7 guy. I don't see 'receiver' at all.

Here I thought the WR position was defined by what you do on the field, not your 40 time. This guy will line up in the Y and run a Y receiver route tree. He will rarely, if ever, play inline.
