well folks we are just hours away from the next game of the season, will it be 1-1 or 0-2? I think we pull it out in Arrowhead with the crowd behind us...here is to ripping off 9 wins in a row again this year

I think that's a bigger loss than Davis, IMO... Smith can really stretch the field...

Also a solid blocker and kick/punt returner...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I agree, he is pretty underrated and was their #1 WR before smith broke out last year. He is pretty big too but IMO his skills are no comparison to S Smith's.

I thought he was their best offesive weapon coming into this year. Davis really solid but their offense wont lose much with foster. However the dropoff from Smith is significant.

I live in Raleigh, and have been exposed to a lot of panther fans this week. The nice thing about panther fans are that they are pretty humble about their team and are chronically pessimistic. That being said, alot of them think foster will be able to run all over us. They also LOVE colbert, steve smith's backup. I guess he had an awesome training camp, and really feel like he is going to be a breakout player for this team. But there is one thing that has become very clear this week to me...
They have no idea what arrowhead is all about. If you have ever been to a panthers game you would see why. I am cautiously optimistic about this game

I have to tape the game...won't get to watch it until 4.

I'll be in a library so there should be little chance I hear a score. If I do, I'm going postal. You'll know it was me if you read about someone stabbing the patrons with a fork tomorrow.

I am ready, baby...

I expect the Defense to be incrementally better. I am sure that Gunther has been harping for more discipline on the DL. The loss of Holliday does not concern me. The Panthers are without their best WR & RB. Let us be honest, our sapling Defense can use a leg up.

My main concern is whether Saunders will be able to get Gonzalez and the WRs bad into the game. The drop-back passing game is not working. With teams keying on Holmes, we should be able to play-action the crap out of them. I saw precious little of that at Invesco [dammit]. I also expect incremental improvement in Welbourn’s play, which should help.

And Arrowhead should be a big help. You can’t overestimate the value of home.

xoxo~

I agree Gaz. Hopefully the noise at Arrowhead with really help the CHIEFS D take advantage of the Panthers injuries and reshuffled O-line. Like, DV I feel that you can't underestimate the power of confidence. If the CHIEFS D can show constant improvement in fundamentals with results it will be a fun year.

I love the home opener.

On pregame show Gun says:

D had a good week of practice. Took Gun awhile to get over the D falling back on old habits.

CHIEFS need to get out ahead early & force Panthers into passing game.

Must play as physical as possible.

Has a lot of respect for Delhomme.
