Whos got some kick butt video of the greatest LB in NFL history Aaron Curry? What I've found is really pretty unimpressive. I can't see in film why he's ranked so highly. Anyone have some good video they can point me too?

He's understudied under one of the best quarterbacks to have ever played the game in Brady, knows the NFL, and throws some of the prettiest passes you'll ever see. And only has a single season of wear and tear. That's a hell of a lot more upside than Sanchez has at this point, particularly considering that Sanchez has happy feet in the pocket and has had minor injury issues already. So just stop with that "I want Sanchez" nonsense. Because that's what it is - nonsense.

And I'm sorry that Curry's internet, YouTube videos haven't provided you with enough "oohs" and "ahhs" for you to draft him with the Chiefs first pick in your mock world. I guess making the correct play time and time again, being in the right place at the right time, being fundamentally sound while being the most athletic linebacker in this draft just isn't good enough for you. I hear that there is some D-II ROLB who knock two helmets off opponents this year and it looks crazy sick on YouTube. Maybe he should be your guy.

He's faster than Brown, and Maybin and bigger.
7lbs smaller than Orakpo and more durable.

If you watch the film, most plays ran away from him. He has a lot of plays causing incompletions or plays for teammates chasing the QB across the field.

I know you know more than all those guys and they're all idiots, but I'd love to bet you that he is at least 3x the player in his 1st year Gholston was.

Jake Long constantly got help in pass protect from the guard, or a chip by the TE or RB.

The one time the Dolphins left him alone with a speed rusher without that help for an extended period of a game against teh Rams, Chris Long got around Jake Long so fast that he made JL look like he was running in mud, and the pass plays were quick slants.

Still Chris Long got around the corner so fast that he nearly decapitated Chad Pennington twice.

Jake Long is never going to be an elite pass protector, he simply doesn't have the feet for it.

Not reallly. I've set and watched Curry to form my own opinion. And just like my arguments yours and others are based on opinion and none of us know for sure. Alot of the anti Curry crowd just closes their eyes and recites unwritten draft rules as if they are burned into stone tablets.

I watched him play many times. And that's how I formed my opinion, thanks. The "unwritten" draft rules just REINFORCE my opinion that he's not worth the #3 pick.

I've never once spouted that Cassel is dogshit.

All I've ever said is that I don't think he's any more proven than Derek Anderson, and I question his arm strength and whether he can succeed without the talent that he had to throw to in NE.

It's my opinion based on my perceptions of watching the games AND NEARLY 30 YEARS OF NFL DRAFT HISTORY.

You can't just throw away historical context. I know you'd love to, but NFL teams don't, whether you want to admit or not.

Oh....well excuse me then. I didn't realize you were actually a Draft Expert. Any way you can get us some coaches tape to watch? That would really help us all evaluate players so we could discuss them on maybe close to the same level as the experts.
