Week 13 Other NFL Games Thread

Who do you guys have this week?

I’ll be switching between Niners @ Ravens and Browns @ Steelers, but mostly the Ravens game... you just know it’s gonna be a slobberknocker

That's a bad comp. The wildcat was never going to last because there was no passing threat and no QB on the field.

This is a pretty typical read option/RPO offense. Jackson's mobility and ability to throw is what makes it hard to stop. There isn't much in this offense that is unlike what you see all over college. And for as much as people bitch about college offenses, that's where the Chiefs' RPO packages came from, and it's where the spread came from.

If you stack the box to stop the run, he can hit his TE's or Brown deep. If you play a traditional defense, they can run it down your throat. Is it sustainable? Probably not over 10+ years, but it's not a matter of just dusting off schemes to run against the Wing T, which is all the wildcat really was.

Ravens getting ran on pretty good here. Hope we can establish something better in that element moving forward.

Wisniewski may be starting today at OC, FWIW.

Jackson's a pretty great runner though. It all depends on coaching. Michael Vick lasted a long time because Reid got ahold of him.

Correct, but the entire league was enamored by it when it was working and that’s what I’m referring to primarily.
