Pop in "A New Hope" and enjoy.

Luke shouldn't have anything to do with Obi Wan until then.

No, that's wrong. He already knows of Ben Kenobi before A New Hope.

Of course, but he speaks of him as if he's the crazy man down the street.

Spoiler!
You desperately want it to be so, but it isn't. Vader is "menacing", but hardly anything like your comic panel.

Do you even read the Vader comics? If not, you can't really comment.

Yes, he's a lot like comic Vader.

Walking through the town, randomly strangling and neck-snapping, then ****ing force choking Obi-Wan onto a hot bed of coals and deadpanning "NOW, YOU WILL SUFFER, OBI-WAN! YOUR PAIN HAS JUST BEGUN."

Yes, comic Vader. To a T.

Spoiler!
Uh no, that silly fire would NOT have stopped Vader from reaching and destroying Obi-Wan. That was a "cat and mouse" scene. Of course Obi-Wan is not going to die because we have SW episode IV yet to come.

However, I do love this mini-series sans Leia performance. Cannot wait for episode 4 - along for the ride!

He didn't want to destroy him there. That was clear.

Given the support Obi-Wan had at that point, Vader wasn't about to risk advancing, either.

So then why was Vader basically wanting to find him at all costs? Even offered Grand Inquisitor to 3rd sister? What is the point? I am not bashing, just not understanding. Is it to SEE Obi-Wan face to face? I am still present? Did not read the comics so I appear lost on what is actually taking place in episode 4. Forgive me.

To get even. He probably wants to not only torture Obi-Wan but grill him for info to help the Empire.

This actually isn't even covered in the comics. I'm sure Disney told their comics department that storyline was off limits.

Vader wanted to humiliate and make Obi-wan suffer as he did. In fact in one cut of ROTS

When Anakin was being engulfed by lava he begged for Obi-wan to save him. Instead Kenobi just left him there being burned

Obi-Wan's screams when he was burning was a direct callback to ROTS.

Very well done.

I'm sure he's going in the bacta now...the stress of this event will surely age him even faster.
