Look, there's a really good chance this kid is too far gone and just never amounts to anything.

But there's also a chance that he's a legit talent at WR. His ceiling is much more than a ST/WR6. No idea if he'll reach more than that, but that's not his ceiling.
Damn, I had read something that said he ran a 4.69, but I just googled it and see the 4.63.

He was slow as shit in high school. Ran a 4.87 40 time at a regional recruiting event, so I think if anything, the broken foot made him run faster.

Yep.

My golf swing looks great until you set a ball on the ground...

Put a DB opposite of him and we'll see what he has. The rest is just talking in circles. I don't expect much, but we'll know by September. And frankly, Andy will likely know well before that.

He straight up ran a 4.87 his senior year of high school.

"At a regional recruiting event, Ross ran the 40 in 4.87 seconds. That ranked 37th out of 41 WRs at that regional. How many NFL WRs do you know who have around a 4.9 second 40 time? To say that's a red flag would be putting it mildly. Alarm bells."

When fast and slow is tenths of a second you know you can tank your 40 because you don't start properly? They aren't all track guys to trained with track coaches.

If Andy and the coaching staff start talking about how much they like Justyn Ross and keep saying that, then I will admittedly get very excited, because that means they really think he's going to be good. If they're talking up a player during TC, then that player has a really good shot at becoming a starter and actually being a legit weapon.

The Fortson Model.

Andy all but created the Fortson bandwagon through how he was building up the guy's conversion to TE.

Then again, the staff was EXTREMELY tight-lipped about what they had in Mahomes their rookie year. I still feel like Mahomes is the reason Houston and Peters got dumped. I think he was out there ****ing those guys up in practice, they just decided they didn't like him and that was that.

He was in ****ing high school. Why are you talking about high school like it's relevant?

He ran a 4.63 on a broken foot, dumbass. You're not smarter than Veach and Reid.

I dont think questioning a practice squad player is saying I'm smarter than the guys that brought him in. Also, I said that I thought I had seen something that he ran a 4.69 40, but was mistaken and that he ran a 4.87 40 in high school and you said no way it was true, so I showed it was true. Chill the **** out, you don't have to play koolaid drunk homer over every single acquisition this team makes.

Times in HS are often still taken with a stopwatch, aren't they? The typical degree of variance with a handheld stopwatch is about 0.2 seconds. And then you'd have to account for the athlete's reaction times, which can vary as much as 0.25 seconds. I wouldn't put much weight on a HS time.
