Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. 30 minutes of cardio straight to the weights drops fat pretty quick. Of course, you have to eat pretty lean. Lot's of greens and fruit. Minimal meat.

There is one program that works for everyone, and has been proven time and time again. Calories in < calories out, you lean out. Calories in > calories out, you gain size. You wasted a lot of time trying to figure that out with 'trial and error'..
