I'm not hating but your World Series teams weren't all drafted Cardinals espeiclly your starting pitching. You hit the gold mine jackpot of all time with Pujols, Molina was a hell of pick. Carpenter was a rehab project that turned out brillant. Wainwright was a Braves pick you got for JD Drew. Freese was drafted by San Diego, he was a PITB for Edmonds. Holliday, Rolen were big trades. Garcia was home grown. But your starting pitching has always been trades or rehab jobs that Jocketty turned into gold. Your young guns look good but they haven't proven jack yet on MLB level especially in the playoffs.

Lets not act like neither Hosmer and Mostakas have never done jack shit at the major league level either. Hosmer as a rookie hit 19 home runs and Moose last year hit 20. Both under the age of 24. They have both shown flashes of being All Star players, for whatever reason have fell of the earth.

What a myopic argument. EVERYTHING in this organization since the mid-90s has been a representation of David Glass's ownership. Laissez-faire attitude and acceptance of mediocrity are not inherently representative of KC baseball fans; it was bred into them over decades. Glass has been the constant throughout.
As long as a dollar is made at the end of the day, he couldn't care less about the "trivialities", which to him are wins and fan support. If I recall correctly, he could average 10,000 a night and still make a handsome profit. He only acts when the fanbase is in open revolt AND there's some national coverage embarrassing the Royals. We may be close to that sometime soon, but I've thought that before.

And all of these were strokes of good luck? Get real. I'm no redbirds fan, but you can't simply chalk that many factors up to the fates.

Allen Craig tore the cover off the ball at every level he played at, but he wasn't hyped 1/50th as much as those two guys. Same thing with Matt Adams.

Maybe part of the blame lies with Moore and guys like Rany and Rob Neyer.

Everything I heard hype wise was from scouts from other teams.

Yep, I cannot count the number of Mizzou True Fans, like Hamas, DJ, and myself, who blew Haith consistently when that hire was announced.

Never said it was luck. Just they didn't draft their way to top, most of it was outstanding trades that put them over the top.
