Misc Quit MJ after 17 yrs a 1/2 oz a week user. HELP - Page 21

Have any of you guys ever quit and struggled like I am? I know it is what I want to do but I am alienating everyone around me. Man this sucks. I can't seem to control myself. I am not yelling but I am so confused and emotional like a woman right now it is horrible.

Yup.

I don't know how Buck manages to go to the gym regularly and still smoke on the daily. When I was a daily smoker there were days I would wake up feeling lazy and lethargic as shit. I could hardly work much less excercise.

I don't know. Weed doesn't make me lazy at all. I just like the way it makes me feel, like, it just takes the edge off.

I can't get blazed and go to the gym, but I take one small hit and it gets me in the zone.

I work 12 hours a day 5 days a week now though so I'm not sure how much I'll be going to the gym anymore. I don't want to stop, but we'll see. I will have to adapt to my new schedule for sure.

Whatever this shit is that I'm smoking right now tastes like pineapple. This tastes really good actually. Weed rarely tastes good.

And yes, a dab gets you ****ing blitzed especially if it's hit through a bong. I have a rig and I've been a daily toker for over a decade and it gets me high like when I was a teenager.

Nevertheless I have tried many times to quit smoking weed. Now I live in san diego and have smoked MEXICAN regular weed and also the chronic aka the stickiest of the icky aka Cali weed.... and let me tell you it is MUUUUUUCH harder to quit smoking chronic than it is reggie aka regular weed. I dunno if they are putting something in it or it just grows like that but this chronic is a mother to quit smoking... Understand I have an athletic background as well and i have found that during times where lifting weights it is much easier to stop smoking weed... for one because after a good workout you still get that irie feeling from being tired... #naturalhigh.

As a long time smoker (20+ years) Buck I have to ask how in the hell are you blowing through that much herb. I mean I have a crapload of spare time and even if I am baked 24/7 I still keep it under an 1/8th a week, however it is usually the AK47 MMJ strains. Are you smoking at work? Joints/bongs?

As for quiting, I take breaks a lot when I need to handle up on my business and whatever else. You just have to stop buying it, wean for a few days, keep yourself busy, and prepare to deal with what I call "pot rage" which is where you are pretty grumpy for 2-3 days before it sort of leaves your system. Filling up your schedule with activities will help, especially exercise.

Seems like people who blow through a ton of weed usually smoke blunts. Which to me seems like a waste. Get a nice bong. And if you have a nice bong and smoke good weed, yet still blow through that much weed in that short amount of time...that's insane lol.

go to the gym after work... if u just worked 12 hours... 13.5 wont kill u.. the.5 is the half hour u need between work n the gym... driving time not included.. i worked 14 hour shifts n worked out in our office gym.

Yes, if you're smoking good weed anything past the 1st quarter of the blunt is wasting it because you're not getting anymore stoned.

I just wish I could enjoy smoking weed like I used to. I loved it. It was cheap easy relaxation. Now when I smoke I just feel weird. It's indescribable. In the ballpark of paranoid, but not exactly. Either that or I just get incredibly sleepy.

Yea, my wife used to smoke as well and then it just started making her have anxiety and panic attacks. So she doesn't smoke anymore.

I don't know if it's me that's changed or the weed. Because now days all that's pretty much available anymore is the "good" stuff. Back when I was really a heavy smoker they still had this stuff called "commercial" lol. Regular ol weed.
