The Royals went out of their way to help this kid get his life together...I don't think he'll find the Brewers or their fans as forgiving as the Royals have been. I can see him losing it at some point & then everyone will say the Royals royally screwed the Brewers in this deal.

he literally got bored with playing for us last year, by his own admission, and mailed it in. I paid good money to see him pitch late in the year when he apparently didnt feel like trying his best. Screw that, thats gotta be worth some bad karma.

If I didn't feel like he'd given up on the team last season, I might feel differently. But I hope he doesn't win another Cy, that's for sure. I don't begrudge him wanting to move to a winning team, and would wish him well if he'd handled last season better.

None of the four players acquired by the Royals is yet eligible for salary arbitration. As such, they are each likely to make less than $500,000. All four have also options remaining, which mean they can be sent to the minors without clearing waivers.

you are clueless. It was not a salary move. Saying "oh hey, now the royals have room to sign more people" does not mean Greinke was traded for salary. He was traded because he didnt want to f**king be here, we would have signed him to a big long-term contract.
