Prayer Request My Father - Page 21

Hello CP:

I got word today that my father was taken to the ER with what they suspect was a stroke. Unfortunately, after CT and MRI scans, they found two lesions on his brain. They believe that he has cancer somewhere else in his body and that these lesions have metastasized from that. My family and I are waiting for more word from his doctors.

I am beside myself. My father is an amazing man and until now, in unbelievable health considering his age (70) and what he has been through in his life. We were just on a tropical island together SCUBA and skin diving, with him able to descend on lung power far lower than I.

I don't have any friends except for family. I've never really had the need. But, I feel that need now. If you would, please say a prayer, send good thoughts or anything positive toward my father.

Thanks guys.

It turns out that his blood sugar was completely off the charts, likely from the steroids, and that he also probably has pneumonia in at least one lung. He's hanging in there.

That is good news. I have high readings with blood sugar after chemo, but not too bad, and since I am off the 2 days of steroids, it is lower. I know when that stuff is through the roof, all sorts of bad things happen. Prayers for your family.

Donger, everything that has been said here is truth. Prayers to your Mom/family/friends. Go somewhere alone and scream, cry or curse. Know this, that your Dad is extremely proud of you and loves you forever. Peace my cyber friend..............

I'm sad to say that my father has double pneumonia. His immune system is shot after 14 months of chemo. So, they are stopping the chemo treatments. They are suggesting that he be moved to a hospice, which my mother is refusing. She wants him at home.

So, I guess this is it.

Thank you all for all your good thoughts and prayers since this began. I truly appreciate it. It has helped me, and I hope that somehow they reached my dad as well.

Condolences.

My grandmother was able to do her hospice care at home. Look into that.
