I've never gotten into Indian food. I have friends and family that rave about it and I've tried probably 15-20 different Indian restaurants and I've just never gotten into it. Curry is pretty good but there are curries from numerous Asian countries so I don't consider curry to be exclusively Indian. In fact, if I have to go to an Indian restaurant, I'll get some curry because I can eat it.

On a side note, my wife is an uber egg snob. She has to have a 2 eggs over medium, 2 pieces of toast, and 2 slices of cheese. Sausage is good but optional. Then she needs to use the toast to dab up the yolk. If she overcooks the eggs, she throws a giant hissy fit. Like throwing pans all over the kitchen and shit. If the toast gets cold...same shit. Hell one time I got up early and made her and the girl some scrambled eggs. She said she'd make her own. I said, "wait, what? You'd rather cook your own stuff than eat what I made you?" "Yeah, I guess so" Quote:

The Grand Big Mac nothing real Grand about it but I think the Whopper is better and it's also over rated.

What food(s) do you think are overrated?
Today’s bounty. Honey cured in the back, black pepper in the front. Smoked at 200F with pecan. Last edited by Fire Me Boy!; 02-12-2018 at 07:10 PM.. |

I wont eat a burger with thousand island dressing on it. If I eat at crackadoo rarely its the regular cheeseburger or a fish sandwich. Burger Kings are trash in my neck of the woods its not even a option. The owner is trash and he owns both that are in a reasonable radius.

Recently, I've been making a 3 egg omelette (one egg and the equivelent of 2 egg whites) with parsley, black pepper, fresh uncooked spinach and jalapeño jack shredded cheese cooked in a tiny bit of hot canola oil. The omelette is tender, the spinach soft and flavorful while the cheese gives it a kick. |

There are 20 Indian restaurants in Alaska?[/QUOTE]
No. There are probably 2-4 here at any given time. These are over the last 25+ years in a variety of places: New York, Seattle, Phoenix, Chicago. Just never got into it. |

I'll often make scrambled eggs (with a touch of sour cream), top it with Monterrey Jack cheese and salsa, with a sliced avocado on the side. |

Warm up the skillet with some real Olive Oil (and fake olive oil is prevalent, so do your research), then crack open and place 2-3 eggs in the skillet. I immediately top with black pepper and parsley. With the gas at Medium Low, I let is gently cook until the whites of the eggs are almost to form. At that point, I flip over the eggs using a large spatula and allow them to cook for no more than 15 seconds. The result is a small platter of over easy eggs and once the yolks are pierced with a fork, it begins to dribble out, which is perfect for toast, bagels or whatever floats your boat that morning. |
