You mean the same LSU team that lost to Arky just the week before? The Arky team that Mizzou crushed in the Cotton Bowl. LSU was a 2 loss team playing for a Title that year. They weren’t by any means invincible. Would have loved for Mizzou to have gotten a shot at them.

And I’m shocked that some of you all wouldn’t have wanted that shot yourselves.

They were not beating a vastly superior LSU team (see Sagarin ratings from that year):

Realistically, that season ending with a BCS bowl win was really as satisfying as it gets for that team (especially considering the way it happened and how they got one over on MU, a program which still has not accomplished that feat).

I always thought it was unfair that Missouri didn't play for the Orange Bowl. They were essentially punished for beating Kansas and playing for the Big 12 title.
