The Chiefs rank 31st in PRE-SNAP penalties per game, only the Lions are better in this category. The #Steelers a top 10 penalized team for PRE-SNAP.

TAUNTING penalties were a topic of conversation in Week 16. The Craig Wrolstad crew rank No.1 for TAUNTING

This crew has been calling a lot of DEFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE penalties over the past 3 games.

This is an area of concern for KC on the road , although not excessive by league standards.

Wrolstad's crew call a disproportionate percentage of penalties on 1st/2nd down then ease up on key THIRD DOWN plays, & defensive units will be provided leeway.

These plays can really affect momentum either way , theses normally don’t go our way though but I think it’s their only chance to beat us unless with jones out our run d turns shit.

Yeah, obviously believe Chiefs are the better team and should win by a million, but there's a few annoying things coming into this one:

Working against us:

- Short week, on the road.
- Both starting Tackles are out [Edit - Taylor is Questionable] against a HOF edge and another great edge, while Pat has a hurt ankle.
- Wilson thrives when he has time to dick around and toss it deep, and has the best deep ball (maybe ever), and Josh Williams loves to get penalties. Pressure is key - but Jones will be limited or out.

Working for us:

- Steelers have less rest time than we do. They traveled on the front end, late at night, whereas we traveled midday on the backend. No sleep lost.
- Pickens coming back from a hamstring, and those can flare up at any moment and end a WR's day.
- Porter is out, and we finally have 4 capable WR's.
- Watt is playing with a hurt ankle, which may give Pat an extra .25 seconds to work with.

Humphries was on the street most of the year (due to injury but still) and has played less than one game as a Chiefs. Calling him one of our “starting tackles” is a bit of a stretch. Thuney will be fine as he has been out there.

I would honestly expect Humphries to do worse than Thuney in this game, had he played.

The benefit was going to be getting those live game reps to hopefully get us ready for a greater performance in the playoffs. But that was all.
