*****2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2024 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE HUNT FOR THE THREEPEAT

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Xavier Worthy
Round 2, #63: Kingsley Suamataia
Round 4, #131: Jared Wiley
Round 4, #133: Jaden Hicks
Round 5, #159: Hunter Nourzad
Round 6, #211: Kamal Hadden
Round 7, #248: C.J. Hanson

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

You might want to reread your posts and everyone’s comments before calling others idiots and simple minds. You weren’t “questioning”. You were doing the only thing you seem capable of and that’s pissing and moaning relentlessly with your “sky is falling” takes.

He was one of the most popular player mocked to us. Trust me.

I had us taking him 1st in my last mock, because I thought Worthy and AD would be gone.

Really hoping we use the Sneed pick to get back into this round. Still some great options available.

I was happy with Worthy I just didn’t feel that we needed to trade up to get him. But I’m not Veach and in no way connected to the league like every front office. I’m merely pointing out what others might consider to be obvious.
I thought Veach said they tried to trade or "looked into" moving up to 21-22 last night

Tyler Guyton is considered a project and went in the 1st.

I'll gladly take Kingsley in the 2nd when that's where project LTs start coming off the board.

Take your goggles off. Both would’ve been there. It’s water under the bridge at this point. You’re not going to change my mind and I’m not going to change yours. Neither of us know shit bottom line.

He now coaches the Denver Broncos and will eventually get fired from that job in shame.

The moral of the story: If you're 100% locked in on a single player and you have a draft shopping list that's pretty short, quit ****ing around and just go get your ****ing guy to avoid anybody swooping in and ruining your day. Or career, for that matter.
This is so true and so obvious. But the obvious often seems the hardest to understand for some it seems.

We had players the Chiefs, targeted at our two positions of need. We went up and got them giving up very little, instead of holding on and hoping they would fall to us.

I had been one who wanted us to try to trade up to get the LT first in round one and then the WR in round two or so many were available. I think that’s what Veach beach wanted to. but when it didn’t work out that way he had to switch to doing what he did.

And we now have two developmental LT prospects. That improves our chances that one of them will work out. And the one we got this year, we seem to be a much higher potential developmental project.
