If "The Kicker" didn't miss, the Chiefs woulda won that playoff game vs. Indy. If Joe didn't get hurt, the Chiefs woulda made the super-bowl in 94.
The fact is, KU sucks. NDSU shouldn't have even made it a close game in regards to each teams status in CFB. However, as it was stated earlier, if both teams were to go at it again tomorrow, it would be a coin flip. Sorry dude but that's a fact.

Not really. I'm pretty sure New Mexico isn't saying that right now. Neither did Nebraska when they got their asses pounded by the weaksauce of KU football in 2007.

ku has recruited decently pre-2010 class (which was a disaster), but there are some huge holes. The biggest, obviously, is that a replacement QB to take the reins from Reesing was not located. This includes a huge local miss with Blake Bell and Bubba Starling (not that he will play CFB anyway). The recruiting on the lines remained at the same level. The main recruiting wins were at DB and WR. Both are nice but less effective if line play is poor.

And that is this team's biggest problem... Atrocious line play. Maybe it's scheme change. the quick, athletic OL recruited to block for the spread is going to have a tough time blocking in a power scheme. Those guys aren't suited for drive blocking.

I don't think the little talent left behind for Gill really suits what he wants to do. It's going to take some time before he has his type of players. That likely means a few years of pain, and who knows how well they bounce back after that? It's really like starting at square one all over again.

Not sure what Missouri has to do with anything. Missouri isn't on Oklahoma's level, either. Oklahoma has ended the season ranked 11th or better 8 times in the last 11 years and has played in 7 BCS Bowls and has won a championship in the past decade. Nebraska has played in 1 BCS bowl in the past decade, and that was 9 seasons ago in a losing effort.

Oklahoma had a huge down year last year. Congratulations on beating them when they had their worst team in a decade and you had your best team in a decade. The fact that you are crowing about that should be proof enough that your programs aren't on the same level.

Prepare to hear something related to Mizzou in response. Somehow, the fact that Mizzou isn't as good of a program as Oklahoma means that Nebraska is as good of a program as Oklahoma. I'm still trying to connect the dots, myself.

Theres a difference though Gonzo. Iowa State didn't have a top 25 recruiting class followed by one of the best recruiting classes in school history while being ranked in the top 10. Let's see how the year finishes out.

Michigan vs. Ohio State is a rivalry, too. That doesn't mean that Michigan's program is on par with Ohio State's in the past decade. (Maybe that's a bad comparison because at least Michigan has played in 3 times as many BCS games over the past decade as Nebraska.)
